The Phillies are apparently ready to make a move at SS.  I know I dont wanna see Galvis back here.  I want Didi...PERIODT

I liked Galvis and Hernandez.

Felt both got a raw deal by fans and media.

Wouldn't mind seeing Galvis come back.

I liked Hernandez...he was a consistent hitter.  His defense & base running weren't great, but he is a load better then Scotty Jetpax,,,  Kingery is str8 @$$.  The only thing I didn't like about Hernandez was he didn't steal bags w the speed he had.  Didn't even try for the most part.  Freddy just don't have any pop in his bat....can't hit. I'd just rather have Didi who can defend and hit.

galvis is at best below average- didi is a terrific player and a terrific clubhouse guy. not even close

Kingery made the haters look stupid for a minute before making them look smart again.

It'd be great if one of him or Herrera has a bounce back year.

Kingery especially since we still have him under contract for a while and he can play so many different positions.

I haven't looked it up, but I'll bet Galvis hits well when it matters most.  I always felt good when he came up in key situations.

I hate the way they are treating Herrera.  He's paid his dues, alot more then what Brett Meyers paid for slapping his wife around.  I just think its wrong for them to put him on ice and waste his playing years like this.  They have to pay him $10M this season, and another $2.5M buy out next season just to do nothing.  Crazy.

To be fair, Herrera was on a prolonged decline when the off the field stuff happened.

I don't think this team thinks much of his actual talent.

HH, our next SS won't be Didi unfortunately unless he takes another 1 year, but cheap deal.

Our next SS will actually be Andrelton Simmons.

We want a stopgap veteran for cheap money, because they don't want to jam up SS for too long because of Bryson Stott.

I need to check out what's down in the farm system....I take it this Stott guy is there.  Is he expected on the MLB roster soon?

Stott I believe is a college hitter, so he really doesn't need much time in minors.

Thats good to know.  I will never understand drafting a HS player, NEVER.  I get the possible potential and not allowing their "clocks" to start, but a HS kid just not physically or mentally ready IMO.  I'm sure there are exceptions, but the majority sit in the minors forever.  Still waiting on Randolph and Moniak

Drafting high school position players rarely work out.  It's the dumbest gamble and yet teams keep making it.

bryce harper, joe maurer,david wright, josh hamilton,prince fielder, adam jones,andrew mccutchen, justin upton, jay bruce, jason heyward, mike trout, manny machado, Arod.a better appraisal would be when the phillies do it, it doesn't work out
