game week
« on: September 07, 2021, 10:21:58 am »
it's game week. time to wake up in this section. i believe the eagles have let the opportunity to win a game slip away by not playing starters in the preseason. atlanta isn't very good and are now without julio, but pitts may be an adequate replacement, albeit a "te" not a wr.  i think this will be much like a preseason game for them. will be a real test for the db's/lb's with ridley and pitts. don't think their running game is too great, but ryan certainly won't be confused by anything the eagles do on defense. hoping the offense and defense are not the totally vanilla stuff we ran in preseason.

Comes down to our ability to run the ball.  Our D will stop the run.  But can we run it on offense with Whopper Jr and the Happy Meal burger playing side by side inside?

But they can't talk enough about Simmons.   That must say something about the state of things.

Eagles have a bunch of new young coaches with paper thin resumes.

Tough to say how this will pan out.

I think we beat the Falcons. Falcons aren't a juggernaut, very beatable team. I think our defense will be better because i think we'll play alot of zone coverage. Everything underneath, nothing over the top.

I am hopeful but cautious, too many unknowns going into the season, hoping for the best but prepared for the worst.

Agree…as long as there are improvements I’m good.  I think most understand they are rebuilding so no one should expect a lot.
