New DC

So....are the Eagles now Colts East?  Been reported that the Colts DB coach will head the new & improved defense for the Eagles.  We will see.

On another note....Stafford is available.  DET & Matt Stafford have come to mutual agreement that its time for him to move on.

So, Eagles going full blown Indy now...offense & defense.  Can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.  Maybe, just maybe, Reich was more important than some thought.  Even more important than Douglas Pederson.

If he was, then hiring his coffee fillers isn't gonna solve our problems...............

Brett was filling Pop's coffee for 15 years and didn't get "gifted" anything.

All our problems will end if our next coach makes the right personnel decisions along the Oline.

I love Doug, but he was a Level 10 moron when it came to managing our Oline.  I get that Stoutland himself had a boner for Peters and Seumalo, but Doug needed to step in and say "listen, we won a Superbowl with these guys, why break that up?"

Between Lane, Brooks, Mailata, Dillard, Driscoll and possibly Kelce there's ingredients for a dynamo offensive line.

Yeah, and Spolstra was editing game film for Riles....and sporting rings.  Andy Reid’s coaching tree has won rings as well.  It works all kinds of ways...

The Spolestra thing was different.

He was someone who Riley promoted cause of the high IQ he came into the Heat organization with.  There was no real "learning" needed on his end.

Not to make it racial, but if you see a white coach surrounding himself with a bunch of white assistants, or even a black coach surrounding himself with a bunch of black assistants, that's likely to be less merit based and more a case of a coach wanting to surround himself with some drinking buddies.

This is why I'm pretty confident in Duce's competence.  I don't think him and Doug hung out much socially, even though they both technically played for the Eagles at the same time as players.

I'm confidant in Duce's competence as well.  Glad he left since he obviously had reached a ceiling w this org.  However, that has nothing to do w assts gaining knowledge from mentors/HC.  I don't care how intelligent Spolestra is, he still had to learn the ropes from Riles...as does any assistant who gets to be a HC.  Some fail simply because there are no lego perfect fits.  You take what you learned and then put your own stank on it to fit your personal.  Brett failed to do that and we all know it.  Move on. You love to bring Browns name up...he's gone, no need to keep harping on his failures.  We all know he failed.  LOL!!!
