Their offense is fools gold though.  Like in the NBA, theres the regular season where you get to play some bad teams and believe things are going fine.  Then the playoffs hit and teams have time to study and find weaknesses then exploit them.  Thats happening w BAL.  All those yards during the reg season looked nice, but now comes playoff time and teams have schemed their offense to take away Lamar's running lanes and make him beat you w his arm.

But they're moving the ball in these losses, against good defenses.  They moved it against the Titans, and they moved it against Buffalo in weather that makes passing the ball very hard.

I really feel like dumping Roman is the play here.  Jackson is what he is.  You can't ask a cobra to be a mongoose.  Jackson is an Olympic sprinter who happens to have an NFL caliber arm.

After watching what Doug did with Hurts this year (really impressive given how depleted the rest of the offense was) I can see why Seattle wants Doug and why the Ravens should be hot his tail too.

First off, SEA wants to interview Doug like a number of teams per the media.  Asking for an interview doesn't mean an offer. All the weaknesses that scouts said about Lamar during the draft process have been realized.   The sidearm throws, the inaccuracy, timing...all that has come to pass.  But don't get me wrong, he still should've been drafted higher, w an emphasis on developing him.  BAL grabbed him, as they should have, but they didn't put the emphasis on developing him.  BAL moves the ball because of his legs.  Marquise Brown was their top WR and he avg 48 ypg...he had 769yds on the year.  Thats not bad, but even he's been frustrated w the lack of passing the ball.  Shoot even that bum Jordan Matthews avg about 800+ his first years here and he's nowhere near as good as Brown IMO.

Higgins just fumbled outta the end zone as they were driving to end the half.....  Everybody on their team had the MJ crying face....

I hate that rule. Anywhere else on the field you keep possession where you lost the ball. Way too severe a penalty not to mention the illegal tackle.

Another obvious helmet to helmet was missed on that play.

Mayfield is charismatic, but the refs probably figure that KC and Mahomes will be better for ratings next week.

True....don't get why its a TO.  But I looked into it a bit.

Per Blandino (Mr NFL Official)

“You’re responsible for putting the ball into your opponent’s end zone, you’re responsible for recovering it,” Blandino said. “If you don’t and it goes out of bounds or the defense recovers, they’ve defended their goal line, and they get a touchback.”

Plain and simple...

Yup there's a reason why that style of play has never and will never win a championship. No matter how hot in the pants it gets the casual fan.

Thankfully for the league the NCAA is finally starting to produce some decent pocket passers again after a bit of a drought in the form of some awful QB classes. The league needed to be replenished. Brady, Brees, and Rodgers are the last fleeting remnants of the greatest quarterbacked era in history, and for a while I was very underwhelmed of the crop carrying the torch into the next era. But guys like Burrow, Allen, Herbert, with Trevor Lawrence, Mac Jones, and Kyle Trask in the pipeline could provide what the league needs. And obviously Maholmes who has pretty much already established himself as the next Rodgers, possibly even Brady at this rate (though obviously closer to Rodgers in terms of skillset), Watson too but at this point I think he's just a good QB and not a great one but he could still improve. He's like a Donavan McNabb type of talent level (not necessarily skillset) but he doesn't have the luxury of being on hyper stacked uber tier teams with 15 pro bowlers every year.

Dang Baker, INT....stare a receiver down in the NFL and you will pay.  Hardman is fast as heck.  Theres no way Hill is faster than this guy.

I just don't get these coaches sometimes.  All these RBs and you wanna allow your franchise QB (who weighs a buck soaking wet) to go down the line and put his head down for a yard.  They better hope they win and he's available next week.  Shoot they better hope they can get through here w Henne.  Nicky 6 where are you?

It's the devil's bargain every coach with a mobile QB makes.

I don't like running Mahomes on a clear running down.  But "Andy gawn Andy" right?

Too many coaches outsmart themselves.  Now, he gotta rely on the same RBs he shouldve given the ball to for 1 yd.

As much as the NFL likes their LA market teams thriving, a Rodgers v Brees/Brady NFC title game has way more appeal to the ham and eggers.

Regardless of who wins the last game, next week will have 3QBs who have won SB and won MVPs and probably MVP this year and Allen was one of the best this year. Four really good QBs in the Finals next week.
