(yeah, i know, just blogging away as always.)  but seriously, are you binging on Netflix?  reading those books that have been on your shelf all these years?  i suppose no one solders together Healthkit stereos anymore.  then there's always Love in the Time of Corona.

My TV has been hijacked from me.  And watching Netflix on a laptop or phone isn't quite the same.

I supposed I could read.  Every time I fly I buy a book at the airport which doesn't get opened.  My shelves are filled with books like these.  I reckon they'll remain unopened.

The weather isn't bad so I rode my bike for the last 2 days, got up stupid early (5am) to do a little grocery shopping at 24hr spots.  Was great, very little crowd, but selections were still scarce.  I've been Face Timing family & friends, currently reading some fan fiction thru internet, saw two new Netflix movies (Underground 6 and Spenser Confidential) and FINALLY trying to catch up on my tv shows that have been saved on my DVR for forever (Arrow, How To Get Away w Murder, Blacklist, Ray Donovan, Homeland, Power).
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Rom 8:31)

Nah, I'm still connected to the cord (Xfinity) and still got Prime, Netflix, Apple TV and a Firestick.  Just not an avid tv watcher during NBA/NCAA season. I only watch tv when NOTHING else is on.  I use to be an avid Scandal watcher...but it ended.  That was the only show I'd watch live.  Every other show I DVR.  I'm just way behind.  Caught up w Agents of Shield, Claws, and finally watched Avengers Infinity War (yeah, I was mad late).  My bf & brother got me turned on to most of those shows.  He's not a video gamer but a Kindle and tv guy.

I'm paying way too much for my TV and streaming packages.  Like way too much.  Keep meaning to cut the cord, just don't feel like dealing with the hassle of Verizon's customer service lol!

I know what at least one troll is doing. Seems like this smiting is their one big thing they live for.  And no MJ20 I don't see those Debs you thought were doing it here doing it now. But the same jerks that were doing it are still doing it. At least to me.You would think they would have better things to do with their time in between panic shopping sprees for TP, paper towels, napkins and water.

I feel you...way too much over here too.  AS SOON AS this contract is up...DEUCES to Comcast (except as ISP)

yeah, i managed to cut the cable a few years back.  theoretically these new, not so expensive, 4G sets can give you a fantastic picture.  not like the true 4K from DVD you see in the showroom.  (so few movie titles being put out as 4K!)  but between setting the set to upscale (or "up" something) and the higher definition stuff you can get from Netflix and Amazon,  the quality is pleasing.  better yet, i've been told, and i really believe, that the networks are quietly pushing reception quality on a lot of sports these days, which i swear i notice.

anyway, the real trick is getting a good provider that can actually provide adequate and consistent download rate.  i've really had to shop around.

yeah, i've seen the doomed wheel of buffering spinning at my friend's place in DC.  mainly on one or two favorite ytube channels at primetown.  she needs to get her set close enough to the router so she can try hooking them up with an old ethernet cable.  if that don't work, i don't know if there are better server options here to argue her co-op board to pursue.

I avoided co-ops like the plague when buying my last place.

Good reliable internet is a human right this day and age.  I was really rooting for Google fiber to take over.  Can't trust cable TV providers to provide reliable internet tv.

so back where i live, i got excited when i heard that AT&T was laying down a fibre optic line i could hook up to.  "5G ready"   which turned out to mean, not 5G able.  not even close.  the TV wired to router trick works well with my current provider, but their initial "5G" signal to the computers around the place grew ever weaker, so that now i got to stick to 2G.  once the wife figures out whether we stay or resettle, i'll gear up to fight the server/service wars again.
