It was fun while it lasted.  Very bright future for this squad.  Gotta drop some of that dead veteran weight though.  Need a sniper too.  Hoping Nolan Patrick & Limbolm will be at full strength.  Gotta do something w G, Jake, JVR, & Ghost....something.
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Rom 8:31)

Agree, that we have a lot of dead weight.

I just couldn’t get into this series at all.  Maybe it’s the lack of fans or just the simple frustration on how most of the games went or both.

We had too many games where we just didn’t have a chance from beginning to the end. It started with Montreal.

Happy this group won a series. We were by far the hottest team in the NHL when corona HOAX 19 ruined it.

I like the fight we showed to get back in the series, but the dead weight was too dead by game 7 in this scenario.

If anyone noticed, in game 6, Raffl was in front of the net for 3 of the Flyers 5 goals. Nobody could get in front of their goalie tonight, because I wonder something...

Were the Islanders using illegal sticks? You guys know you're only allowed to use a certain size blade...I seriously believe the Islanders were cheating. I NEVER use that as an excuse, but I'm shocked our coaches or players didn't suspect it. The Islanders had damn near perfect puck control. The Flyers couldn't hold on to the puck AT ALL.

I'm still positive G has a no trade contract, but we HAVE to trade Jake, and hopefully JVR.

What the hell happened to Konecny scoring???

Last but not least...We have to fire our powerplay coach.  Unbelievable we scored ZERO pp goals in a 7 game series!

Giroux and Hayes have no movement clauses and Niskanen has a partial no movement clause.

I don’t know what happened to Ghost.  He was a one trick pony with that sneak in slapshot from the slot.  I think we’re stuck with him unless we take back another bad deal.

Voracek is frustrating to me because I feel like he can play more of a power game than he does.  He and Giroux are good players but not worth what they are making.  The Jvr signing was a disaster as soon as the ink was dry.

We’re $10 mil under the cap and our unrestricted free agents are Grant, Thompson, Braun, Pitlick, and Elliot.  I like Pitlick’s energy and Elliot could be back as he knows his role.  Grant, Thompson, and Braun can walk imo.

Aube-Kubel, Hagg, Myers, and Patrick are restricted free agents.  Patrick should certainly be happy with a bridge deal given he sat the entire year.  The other three are in line for a decent raise.  These guys could eat all the remaining cap space we have.  We need to dump Ghost and/or JVR imo.  Voracek if we have to.

Good stuff. I think what we need to do with Ghost, is find a player with a similar deal, who hasn't lived up to expectations and hope we win the deal.

I'm also waiting to see if Fletcher can pull off a deal with Voracek, where we kind of make a somewhat similar deal to how we traded Recchi for Desjardins and Leclair.  I just feel like he has to go.

I also am starting to think Nolan Patrick MAY retire, or sit out another year.

Of course as I predicted, a team in the bubble won the draft lottery and it was the New York Rangers. Ugh!!!!

I think the Flyers will sign Mikael Granlund, and or 1 of Tyler Toffoli/Craig Smith, in free agency and that will probably be it for free agency.
