Morey took a team that went to the 2nd round of the playoffs with one of the worst coaches in the league, and made it into a team that went to the 2nd round of the playoffs....

Embiid knows full well that the teams he's had around him these past 4 years were good enough, and that his inability to stay healthy is the problem.

I doubt you'll understand this because you've never played a sport in your life

This week alone I ran 12-13 second 100 yard sprints at 220 pounds at my local park and then proceeded to squat and deadly 300+ the very next day.

All with a mild head cold.

But I'm glad Dr Dad was able to get you off the couch and into some organized sports as a child.

Michael Rubin's marching orders

If Morey had followed Rubin's orders to completion, Harden would have been handed a supermax contract the second he landed in Philly.  Something Rubin freely admitted to when he stated that Harden would still be a Sixer if he had remained our owner.

"As for Morey, I'd say he held his ground quite well with Ben and Harden."
LOLOL you've been saying for years that all he did with Ben and Harden is follow Michael Rubin's marching orders (including even after Rubin wasn't part of the team anymore).  But now Morey "held his ground".  ffs are you ever able to keep a story straight?

Morey made chicken out of chicken $hit, said chicken $hit including Ben, Doc, Ruben and Harden's nonsense.

You're acting as if Embiid's injury problem come playoff time has been knee soreness due to playing too many back to back games or something.

Given how bad you bungled the rope a dope, I doubt you'll understand why, but total "load" on joints and even bones increases their vulnerability to tears and breaks.

if the wording is correct, for those wanting thomson gone, its not happening

lol!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOLOL so Morey is just a little errand boy doing whatever his players want him to do, and not an actual GM. Awesome.  In that case, let's fire him, and the Sixers can hire me instead, pay me 1/10th of his salary, and I'll do the same exact job.  It's a win win!

There is no GM in the league who is surviving a pissed off MVP caliber star, save for maybe Pat Reilly.

As for Morey, I'd say he held his ground quite well with Ben and Harden.  And in the end we came out a winner.  Ben and picks were traded for Harden, and Harden was then effectively flipped for George and picks.  Given Ben's bad back, we should be grateful that things worked out the way they did.

So there is reason to be concerned about what version of PG we get come playoff time.

lol!

The point of Paul George is to take pressure off of Jojo in the regular season, so that he can make it to the playoffs fully healthy.

Once the playoffs start he'll fill the same role your good buddy Outsiders cousin Tobias failed at as the 3rd banana.  By then Jojo and Maxey will be playing 40+ minutes a game, with Maxey firmly cemented as our late game closer (fingers crossed that the Knicks series wasn't a fluke).

From the very thread you were in back in May:
https://extremesixersforum.createaforum.com/sixers-forum/choice-of-free-agents-or-trade-targets/

6eral starts the thread listing a variety of free agent and trade options, one of them being signing George to a 3 year max contract.

MarktheShark: None of the above. PG too old and expensive
pgmoney: None of the above.

Krukster: It George takes 3/150, he becomes an expiring contract after 2 years, and will be easily removeable if we trade him next offseason.
But at 4/200 George's contract becomes a potential liability.

Phils22: I believe it would be a huge mistake to sign PG13.

Krukster: No GM thinks PG is worth 4/212. It'll be a game of chicken between Morey and the Clipppers. Morey will try and pick a value that he thinks the Clippers won't match. But if Morey offers the full max, the Clipppers may let him eat his own stupidity.

6eral: DM has a lot of holes to fill, with around 60 million cap space and several future draft pics. These 4 players should be obtainable with our assets. Miles Bridges 7 million, Mikal Bridges 23 million plus draft picks, Andre Drummond 4 million, Alex Caruso 10 million plus draft pick/s. Not a flashy lineup but short of a big star and using all the cap on one player. I would think that would mean our first this year would be included and attempting to trade P Reed or cutting him will give us another 12 million to work with as Reed's contract is for 7.9 million and we would save 4 million giving up our draft pick. So, this would leave us about another 25 million to spend on resigning some of our own free agents like Payne and RC4.

Again, why must you always lie?
The only poster in that thread that was in favor of signing George was mra128.   You were ok with a 3year max, but said a 4 year max would be stupid.  And then multiple posters explicitly being against signing Georg.

If we miss out on PG cause we didn't want to offer 4 years, Embiid demands a trade within months if not weeks.

This is a players league, and the league MVP made his demand.

A smart man knows when to stop talking when they are losing terribly, with that in mind I await your next 10 idiotic replies.  Great and Paul Reed have no place in the same sentence.  But again, the future of the center position, right?  Amazing the hills you pick to die on.  Jah's still just 20 lbs away, superstar!

Young earthers hating math, shocking!

13 hits and 5 runs in 3 games didn't help.

That's on Rob and Long for not talking to our hitters during the game and telling them to lay off the breaking stuff.  This is 3 straight postseasons now where a heavy dose of breaking balls that were no where near the strikezone neutralized our hitters.

You and I were in agreement on not wanting George until Morey went and got him and you went from thinking it was a stupid move to it being a miracle signing.

Any Sixer fan who watched this, and then thought "I hope we don't get Paul George", really has no business rooting for the Sixers while Embiid is still on the Sixers payroll.

Outsider is not a Sixer fan, if I hadn't needled him/her as much as I did about being related to Tobias (which he/she is) he/she would be long gone from this forum already.

But what in the heck is you and Jaws's excuse?

Nobody can overcome the Philly curse

God gave up on Philly after Doug Pederson was fired.

i just used Trump because i believed Kruk is not a fan and the similarities were obvious

I'm not, but the frothing at the mouth hate against him has proven just as annoying as Trump himself.

Plus my mom, best friend and girlfriend (different people, I swear) are huge supporters of his.  Hard for me to think him Hitler 2.0 when so many near and dear to me support him.

what have you EVER admitted u were wrong about?

Pretty much every "new" guy a Philly team has I give the benefit of doubt to.  My first posts about Brett Brown were positive.  Ditto Tobias Harris who I defended really up until this year.  Same deal with all other Philly sports teams.

If Paul George proves a dud I'll change my tune on that as well.
