Opening Day
« on: November 25, 2020, 04:36:16 pm »
Man...these teams always play vs cupcakes to open the season.  #8 Illinois is winning 121-58 vs NC A&T.  Providence 92-51 vs Fairfield.  Ohio State 90-74 over Ill State.  😂😂😂😂
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Rom 8:31)

Georgetown was struggling w UMBC.  I think they were up 3 at the half, but they’re up now by 18.  Drake beat KSU...😂

What happened to UCLA program?  I think recruiting all the 1 & done players finally caught up w them.  Unlike UK, who constantly reloads, UCLA couldn’t keep up the pace.  Once Love, Westbrook, Holiday crew left it’s been a struggle every since.

Virgina upset by San Francisco...60-61.  That’s what happens when you play 3 games in 4 nights this early in the season.  Guys don’t have their legs to do that yet.

UVA is well coached, but they still recruit poorly.  They go for skill over athleticism which makes them vulnerable to lesser D1 teams.

Very true, they rarely get athletic guys.  They are Nova South.

Took Nova a while to figure out that right balance between getting players who fit their "culture" and having the actual talent needed to win titles.

UVA finally got their ring after choking like dogs as a 1 seed 2-3 times.  But I see more postseason choke jobs in their future.
