Shark my list was looking at most to prove, your list is of intriguing guys. I like your list but it's a different focus.

Simmons - I know I'll watch a few Nets games, but I don't think he will have a long term run. I think his back is cooked.

Reed - Detroit is such a bad franchise. If he plays bad there it might be because it's awful there. If he plays well it might be because most of the other guys suck and opposing teams cruise against them.
I doubt anything much that happens in Detroit translates to the real NBA

Yabusele - every Sixer fan wants to see what he looks like. I think I was the poster who first flagged him so I hope he is good enough. Don't fancy egg on my face.

There are plenty of other (non Sixers) intriguing situations in no particular order:
KCP in Orlando
Giddey in Chicago
Hartenstein in OKC
Knicks without a healthy center
Klay in Dallas
Ingram - will anyone trade for him?
Claxton - will he escape the Nets?

Yeah, you turned me onto Yabusele.
I think Hartenstein will be a great fit in OKC. It wouldn't surprise me at all if OKC wins it all this year, and becomes the new powerhouse team in the NBA for the next few years. I'm glad they're not in the east.

So the preseason starts October 4th, but the 6ers don't play until October 11th? There's a game against the new Zealand kangaroos or whatever their name is on October 7th, but it's not televised?
I need this season to get started!

Mark

respectfully

there are no kangaroos in new zealand

only australia

i think its the new zealand breakers?

I'm here SIS. I see you making your early pickups & leading the way. Waiting for the season to start. Well EMBIID won the MVP he has the help needed now there shouldn't be ANY excuses. Simply avoid injuries everything should be fine. Take days off when needed & when games are out of hand simply pull the starters. The Sixers need 1 more veteran at the NBA Trade Deadline which shouldn't be a problem. I'll be searching tickets early when the Sixers come & play the Wizards. It'll probably hurt my pockets BUT I think it's worth it.

I see JAWS! My buddy KRUK is back in town. I don't post ANYTHING during the off season.

I think what really set up OKC was the Jalen Williams who is a wing (not the bigger J Williams).
That Williams being so very good, so early is their key. We all knew SGA was good but without Williams they weren't good enough.
That pick at #12 being so successful is imo the reason OKC made the leap into top tier contender.
If the 2022 draft was done again now just 2 years later I think he goes #3 not #12.

It's the New Zealand Hobbits, they are very proud of being the home of the Hobbits, even made a few movies about them.

So Knicks just waived Marcus Morris. He's the better twin we had last season.
His Knicks contract was non guaranteed.
I know we are probably going to start with 14 players we have but ...
Here's my idea:
Sign Morris to a non guaranteed deal.
When we do the inevitable KJ Martin trade we will be sending out multiple players to get the guy Morey wants whether it's DFS or someone else.
Therefore two things are needed. Guys to add to the trade and guys to fill the roster spots after the trade.
Morris could be either. Let's get him now, we found out he still has some gas in the tank.

Very weird, considering the Knicks are sending out multiple bodies in the Kat deal.
Yeah, I'd be okay with bringing Morris back.

IND signing OK4 to a training camp deal.  He's played ok overseas (13/6) over last few years, but was ok his last stops in NBA (NOP, DET).  He still has the defensive issues and those can't be fixed overseas. He'll be 29 in Dec, so he's not old.  Okafor, just came along at the wrong time.  His game was suited for the era before the stretch big.  Once the big man became more athletic, shooting 3s, ball handlers even, he became extinct before even getting started.  He tried to adapt, but unfortunately teams had to move forward.  I think he could've survived w the right fit.  If dudes like Robin Lopez, Boban, DJordan could be in the league, so could OK4.  The difference is, they had some defensive & rebounding qualities.
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Rom 8:31)

It's not just Sixers that are snakebit at times.
Memphis got the injury big. Jaren Jackson did his hamstring in the first practice. That's on top of GG Jackson and Vince Williams already being injured.

So Rob Covington is still not signed.
We got his Bird rights when he came over in the trade but we waived those.
So Covington had to find a team with cap space or who would use some of their MLE, otherwise he's looking at league minimum.
Morris seems prepared to take league minimum but right now nobody has picked him up.

I guess Covington isn't coveted by any team.

So apparently, DM has been trying to low key get Yabusele for the last 3 seasons but the buy out was an issue.

I'm pretty sure this could have been done sooner, but Harris didn't want to budge on the money.

Or Real Madrid is notoriously a difficult team to buy out players from.

NBA teams are only allowed to pay a fixed amount towards a player’s buyout, the rest is on the player to cover.

I read somewhere that Yabusele's buyout was only 1m until June or July. Then it went up to 2.5m, or whatever it is now. If Morey really wanted him before the Olympics, I don't get what the holdup was.

Maye Yabusele wanted to wait until after the olympics and was banking on his performance drawing more suitors?
