Tobias on what's different with Doc
« on: January 24, 2021, 10:43:17 am »
"We're more organized on the floor, and we're playing off of each other  a lot better than we have in the past."

And Doc isn't even 50% through where he wants to get with this team.

Doc and Morey came for the talent.  And will stay for the parade.
And all those who had faith were at the same place and owned all things communally.

Let's not forget Brand.

Fans don't want to accept it, but Embiid's defense is no where near what it was prior to 2019.

Elton correctly saw that Embiid needed help on defense.

I suspect Morey is seeing it right now.

Morey fixed the spacing problem and Doc fixed the Tobias Harris problem. Now he's getting to work on the Ben Simmons problem.

It's so much easier to play when you know what is expected of you and your teammates. Knowing everyone knows where they are supposed to be instead of grabbing the ball and just balling.

This Sixers team not fixed yet. We have a major problem on SF position. I hope Morrey will address this problem immediately no need to waiting for trade deadline. I will ship DG, Korkmaz , Scot with some draft pick.

We got an unused mid level exception that expires if we don't use it by season's end.  The other exceptions we can carry into next offseason.

Problem is the Nets got two big exceptions as well and any good roll player who is cut is gonna find the Nets a better opportunity.

But if someone with ball skills is released, they may prefer us over the Nets who already have two giant ball hogs on their roster.

i would think a decent 3 would find us much more attractive than the nets.they would have immediate playing time. like you said, the nets are already 1-2 basketballs short for the way their stars play.getting a guy like matisse who actually had some offensive game would be great

I hope players choose us over Brooklyn.

Doc should have more pull than Nash.

And as you said, playing with Harden and Irving has to be a turn off for a lot of players.

Could not agree more. But Sixers should not wait for that long. We have a very good opportunity to win it all this year. We have trade assets. I think they can take 20 M by trading DG and Scot.
