They had a chance, but w Maxey on ice theres no chance at all.  No Jo, no PG, and Maxey colder than polar bear feet.  He's missing lays, jumpers, and open uncontested 3s....ouch!  Well, I"m ou.  see ya next game.

So yeah, they played Joel against the weaker opponent. Not sure exactly what that means, but it definitely means something.

The team's chasing .500, basically packing it in for the PHX game?
Don't believe Maxey can lead a team to a W against a weak opponent (Indiana)?
Don't believe Joel can lead a team to a W against a good opponent (Phoenix)?
Just tryna let Joel stat pad?
Maybe they think the teams actually better without Joel?

Not sure what it means, but anyone tryna actually be competitive, and who believes in Joel, would have rested him against Indiana and played him against Phoenix.

I think it was more about matchups than anything else.  PHX is a basically small ball team, and you need wings to matchup w them.  PG getting another day of rest was prolly due to them wanting him to rest for PHX wings.  PHX isnt a big team, they have Mark Williams, but thats about it at C.  And he's day to day.  He played last night tho.  You need wings when you play PHX.  Their whole team is basically G/F.  Williams, O'Neal, Brooks, Booker, and Gillespie are their starting 5.  Grayson is their 6th man.  Goodwin, Dunn, and Ighodaro fill out their rotation.  O'Neal starts at PF and he's 6'6.  They are a small ball team, but they can SHOOT.  They're also on 2d leg of back to back, as they played BKY last night.

BOS vs DET

DET wins 104-103

This was a really good game.  Went down to the last shot, which Brown missed for the walk off.  Good night for Tobi...he was enfuego   BOS kept trynna put little players on him and he'd just back them down and score.  The thing I like w DET, they get everyone involved.  Tonight, they fed the mismatch and they won.  I will say, however, BOS lives and dies w the 3 ball.  They depend on White, Pritchard, Hauser, and Brown to make 3s.  That didn't happen.  White 0-6, Brown 2-8, Hauser 4-7, and Pritchard 3-6.  So, 2 of the 4 guys they depend on didnt come thru from 3.  White had a nightmare game overall, just 1-11.  Anfernee Simons didn't shoot well either, 4-11 off the bench.  Cade struggled shooting too, but he had 14 assists.  Kid is good.

NYK vs DAL

DAL wins 114-97

What is wrong with the NYK?  Four team losing streak.  They are my 2d fav team.  Brunson & Hart back from injury, but they still lose to a undermanned DAL squad at home.  NYK fans were booing them.  So, please don't take about PHI booing like they're the only fans who do that.  NYK defense has taken a step back under Brown.  We all know Thibbs coached teams gonna defend, but he burns them out.  This NYK team don't defend as hard.  Max Christie was the best guard in the Garden tonight.  13 FGA, 26pts, 8 3FGM, 80% 3FG.  Brunson got up his fair shot of FGA 9-24, and KAT played well too (22/18) but 5 TOs.  NYK gave up a 44pt 2Q and got outscored by 19.  That was the ball game.   At one point they were down by 30...no AD, Kyrie, Lively, Gafford, DLo, or PJ.  And we thought PHI losing to DEN was bad.  Well, they got BKY next, and that could spell relief....hopefully.

Why doesn't Barlow play much in 2d halves.  Everyone comes back in the 4Q except him.  Tonight Walker played the entire 4Q.  Barlow had a really good game tonight in the mins he played.  11/7/ 2 steals

VJ still picking his dribble up w nowhere to go.  It's habitual at this point.  I know he's not a natural PG, but IND has pushed him all the way up to half court trynna initiate the offense.  I know he's a newbie and he's gonna get better, but it frustrates me to see this game after game.

And it still pizzs me off that they allow Jo to bring the ball up.  Walker gets the rebound, dribbling up court, stops just to pass it to Jo.  Why are you passing it to him?  He not a G or F, Just dribble up court please....

Good 2d half and I like what I saw outta Kelly.  He's getting his legs and game back on both ends.  Now, I need to see Watford get his legs back as well.  He's behind the curve too, but not as much as McCain.

Bona hedges really hard on their high picks, and I love it.  But once the G picks up his dribble, he gotta fall back.  He's staying to long, and they've gotten away with it a few times, but its not ideal

Lol, I hope they make me look stupid.
We look SO much better when VJ's involved.

VJ gotta be aggressive and stop settling for 3s.  He started driving to the basket.

9 missed FTs in a 1pt game...smh

Somebody in Milwaukee has incriminating video on him. Dude's been playing cheap for them for years.

I was gonna say similar.  Portis said he didn't want to be traded after they won their 'Ship.  And he was willing to do whatever to stay in MIL.

Maxey needs to stay on his man.  He keeps leaking out and his man (Neismith) is crashing.  He has 9 rebs.

He had 5 FG attempts last game, might not get that many tonight. He's deferring to everyone else.

Last shot of the half....VJ w the ball and once again SETTLES for a long 3.  Dribble, dribble, dribble not going anywhere just to shoot a 3.  NN took Barlow out, just so VJ could dribble 19s away and shoot a 3....  He's deferring and settling....both things are true

Grimes has to slow down.  He moves too fast for his own self...

If VJ isn't gonna get shots, maybe Grimes should start and let Vj come off the bench when Joel sits

VJ has been settling for long range 3s.  He has the ball in his hands every time down the court, especially when Maxey is out.  It's like he's fallen in love with the 3 ball for some reason.  And he keeps picking up his dribble too soon
