If PG delivers another dud this season and we miss the playoffs despite Embiid playing 50+ games, Morey deserves to be fired on that alone.

I just think the Negadelphians are gonna be surprised like they were in 2017 when the Eagles won the title.

if both play 50 games its a miracle

GM foolishly hitched his wagon to 2 knobs

If Morey wasn't seeing things the average fan wasn't seeing, why is he being paid 10 million a year to do his job?

Morey should be clearing buggy carts at Costco , a moronic GM

Just not seeing Bailey as an alpha needed w the 3rd pick. Doesn’t have the handles for SF, TOO lean for PF

I get it as I'm not crazy about him either but as Hollow said he won't have to do much initially but play defense, rebound and work on his shot cause he'll need the 3 to be useful.

There are  no alpha carry my ream in this draft

I dont think Flagg will be the best player 5 years from now

What is the alternative? 19 games remaining? Embiid out the rest of the season?

I can also say that when McCain was drafted, I was very happy about it... And many others not so much... Not until after the fact... I'm not going to get excited for any Duke player... I could see with my own eyes what McCain was doing on a high level... Just as I see what Flagg is doing. Sure he could be a bust, but I doubt it...

Do we think some miracle is going to happen and that the Sixers are going to win the NBA Championship? Thus, get out of the 1st round? ERRR... Can we even get out of the PLAY IN... CAN WE EVEN GET IN THE PLAY IN... What are we talking about... The best player is the best player... It's why we took Joel Embiid injured and all... Because he had the most upside to be a Superstar...

YOU CANT CORRECT STUPID

If given a 10% chance at contention by next season versus blowing up the team for what you guys admit won't be a massive influx of picks, why choose the latter?

I got a better chance of spooning Heidi Klum on America has Talent

Basically said we're still a contender IF healthy.

Acknowledged that health is a big issue for us.

BUT are we really going to assume that Embiid and PG can't ever again play 60+ games in the regular season and be healthy for the playoffs?

Even if you give that just a 10% chance at happening next season, it still makes little sense to freak out and pray to some invisible God for Adam Silver to let us have Cooper Flagg.

Reggie was drinking cheap wine before that comment

TEAM IS FKEN TOAST

Morey deserves heat for hiring Nurse and signing Drummond.

The other stuff is largely just misplaced anger.

Stop blaming a journey man center as our issue , give it up

8
You don't shut a player down for the year with 24 more games left in the season if nothing is wrong...

Whatever the reason, I really do not care... I got what I wanted in shutting this man down for the year... This also continues my agenda of keeping our 6th pick... Tank on...

Flagg is not a franchise player and turning no team around

If you think Embiid was putting up 25 a game without being able to do any of the above, you're on crack.

And if you think Embiid's inflammation is truly crippling to the utter bewilderment of his doctors, then systemic autoimmunity is the most logical explanation for it.  Debris not detectable by advanced MRI should not be causing crippling inflammation.  Not unless the immune system itself is no longer functioning correctly.

An MRI should of been done on Morey to determine the extent of his stupidity

A 5 year old could have concluded that extending one of the biggest choking stars ever was one of the biggest mistakes in Sixers history

From Kyle Neubeck:

The team and Embiid met with half-dozen doctors last year after Golden State game, before returning last season, and before the extension and they were optimistic. The doctors did not feel more surgery would be required. They recommended was that Embiid return to playing. As he adjusted to playing on no meniscus, the doctors felt the swelling flare up would get better and the knee would gain strength bit by bit. But it would take time. But they felt he would need to play to get better.

There's been a lot of debate/speculation about his meniscus on the forum. Well here it is from a generally reputable source. No meniscus.

We're at a Brandon Roy situation basically only Joel's older and much bigger. I get Joels frustration, but as Fischer put it, Joel's looking for some sort of cure-all. The reality is that doesn't exist. He's got to get right with that. There's no easy fix. Either put in the work to lose weight and stay in shape, change your game, and get used to playing through some pain, or retire. Sad, but that's reality.

Repeat after me

“Breaking News!  Supremely talented 7’ tall basketball player that can shoot from anywhere on the court can still score 24 points a game despite dealing with an injured knee”

He’s also averaging 8 rebounds a game (career average of 11), and 0.9 blocks per game (career average of 1.6), and it’s plain as day to anyone with 2 functioning eyes that his mobility is hindered.

Looking forward to watching that video Kruk!

AND OUR STUPID GM GIVES HIM A MONSTER EXTENSION

And Edwards at #15.

Our actual pick was at 16.

As I said before, if the idea was to tank, you want Morey making the lotto picks.

He can draft but the rest of his skill set is beyond  pathetic

The above narrative is completely moot if Siakam doesn't elbow Embiid in the face at the tail end of the Raptors series.

Or if Ben hits just 50% of his free throws in that Raptors series instead of 30%.

Or even if the refs call that obvious foul on Maxey in that late game meltdown against the Knicks.

In some ways it's healthy that you guys are blaming the team for what has obviously been variables that were largely out of the team's control.

But the adults who run this team have to be analytical about it.

When are these iffs buts candies and nuts going to materialize into playoff success

Ben is as close to GOAT top pick , a waste of a career

Mental midget with no heart or will to match his skill

Jo is too dumb to lead a team anywhere , dude is 30 how many more years are we gonna wait

His next phase is Jeff Ruland ....my body is done

Lesson #1:  Never trade an MVP caliber big who is still in his prime.  We did it once with Wilt, did it again with Moses, and now we got the pipehitters tripping over themselves do to it again with Embiid.

Lesson #2:  Don't bail on a perennial all star after an underwhelming 1st year, especially when it's obvious that coaching was the reason for their struggles.  This was the mistake we made with Al Horford, who cause of Brett's stupidity looked like he was "cooked".  We salary dumped him only to watch OKC flip him to Boston for a 1st a year later, where he then proceeded to be a key piece in Boston's current title run.

Lesson #3:  Don't fire the GM who keeps nailing his draft picks.  My God you have to be dumber than brick to want to go back to tanking AND fire Morey.  You could argue that Morey struggles with getting the fringe pieces needed to get a contender over the top.  And his choice of Nurse as a coach was definitely questionable.  But if you want us to go back to tanking, Morey is the EXACT GM you want making those lotto picks.  His collective body of work in the NBA draft speaks for itself.

Lesson #4:  Don't ever give in to Philly fan impulse.  In my lifetime I've seen an inverse correlation between how Philly fans felt about a team, and how close they actually were to a title.

Stop drinking the spiked Kool Aid

Lesson 1  .... JO is a fuk en stats guy only ...cant carry a franchise and never will  ....IQ of a turnip
Should have been moved 3 years ago ...now an albatross fool

Lesson 2 ...Horford is a quality role player when your Battman and Robin , plus others are in place ...AKA BOSTON
Sixers NEVER HAD THAT COMBO , and he cant do **** without elite support

Lesson 3     Morey is one of the biggest DUMB  FKS  to ever run a team
WTF are you smoking ...team is in TOTAL  shambles because of him , horrendous asset management
An 8 year old on a video game can do better

Lesson 4 ... WE ARE FK EN DOOMED INTO THE NEXT DECADE
