Sixers Forum / Re: 18 - 14 better, worse or as you expected?

I think the record is better than I would have expected, but I'm excited for several reasons outside of the record.
At draft time, many were pounding the table for Ace Bailey. But the Sixers did their homework and we seem to have gotten the right guy.
George and Embiid are both showing some signs of health, which bodes well for a playoff run or potential trade. I don't know what to make of Embiid right now - he looks slow on both sides of the court, turning the ball over and not able to get out to shooters. But just the fact that he's healthy gives the team options. I'd still like to get younger and more athletic at that position.
The keys to the car appear to have been handed off to Maxey, and it was a seamless transition. I don't see moping or griping. There are teams out there with the 2 timelines and are unable to make it work (see Golden State), but the Sixers seem to have a light at the end of the tunnel.
A lot of us wanted Yabusele to return, but with the additions of Barlow and Walker (and to a lesser extent Watford) there is unexpected depth at the 3 despite Oubre's absence. Bona has exceeded expectations of a second round pick.
I feel like there's a lot to be excited about. It feels good to watch Sixers games again.
