Joel Embiid has not played since Feb. 28 due to a right oblique strain. The Sixers have continually professed hope that his return was nearing in recent days...

When did playing over 50% of your career become a good thing? Do you agree that his unavailability is why we have not won a title under Joel... The lack of chemistry because he's unavailable... I'll give you something that is less than 50%... I don't give the Sixers a chance at all of winning in the 1st round. We could lose in the play-in... The chances of the Sixers winning a 1st round series IMHO, is 0%... They are not beating the Pistons, Celtics, or Knicks... Just maybe if someone was available more, the wins reflect differently, and they are higher in the standings. And their is consistency with the team in general... But this in and out the lineup for a huge number of games is not sustainable or a winning way... 485 played and 470 not played, regardless of how you want to put it is not good... It's still a 50/50 flip of the coin if he's available or not... 50.78% PLAYED and 49.22% NOT PLAYED...

my point was that outsiders and now even some sixers fans will do anything to tear him down even if it isnt real.  Microcosm of his career, that went viral and was on ESPN.  I dont care about the percents they were wrong and didnt fact check and just ran with it.  50, 45, 40, whatever.  Hes still the best talent this team has seen since before i was born and weve decided to go down with the ship.  If you abandoned ship then whats the panic over?  Theres nothing to be done to change us from this course.

Its okay to be negative, this team has put us all through hell.  But to do it so constantly is poison.  We are .5 out of the 5th seed and Detroit just lost Cade.  Very real possibility with guys coming back that we play Cleveland and then if we win a tight series we get Detroit without Cade.  Dream a little.  This has been a weird season in an era of weird seasons.  No team in the east is a world beater except the Celtics.

The point of sports is to have fun and to dream big.  Right now things are looking okay, its not the time to melt down over Joel every single day.

Do i think we are likely to win a series?  No.  Can we?  Absolutely.  Do i think we could win two?  Absolutely if things break right.

i know it doesnt matter to you guys but hes still played over 50% despite starting his career at a 200 game deficit.  Hes beat the odds and had a career and people just clown him.  His career almost never ever started and he turned into an mvp.  Thats worth praise and takes a lot of blood sweat and tears

Our pets heads are falling off the 6 seed seems unattainable especially if you need Embiid to die in order to get there before the playoffs begin which i point out again IS AGAINST THE WHOLE POINT OF BEING CAUTIOUS.  We are back where we began.  Embiid needs to play and play HARD for the rest of the season because no one else can save our sorry asses.  The problem is that means he gets hurt.

Again, the Mavericks were the 12 slot last season when the season ended... It has nothing to do with everyone else tanking... It's what the ping pong balls tell us... For years the worst teams never got the top pick... Utah has been stinking for years, and yet what have they got out of it? It was always realistic... As I have said all year, what's not realistic is thinking GLeague guys, old Drummond, old Gordon, and old Lowry was going to do anything for us. That PG and Joel would have GROUND HOGS DAY AGAIN AND AGAIN... That they would not play in back to backs... That KNICK KNURSE SUCKS as a coach... That we have a true MORON IN MOREY... And that our owner doesn't do a damn thing... His head has been up the Commanders rear since he bought it...

Why after a decade would anyone put faith in Joel Embiid, it's mind boggling... We should have got rid of all these guys at the deadline.... We should have gone young with Maxey, McCain, VJ, Edwards, the PF's, and Bona and let the shite fly where it may...

Penn we can agree on this... I am sorry for the constant ragging of the team, but as you stated, the team does not care... They won't even go over the luxury to do basic things...

I had just hoped McCain would have been part of the future with Maxey and VJ... But I did say this would happen when I first saw it... That you could not have it both ways with Joel and PG and GLeague young kids... Take PG and Joel out the equation and we are just a fragment of a team... I guess a win is a win but a very ugly win... To barely hang on to beat one of the worst teams in the league is embarrassing...

Its definitely not due to the old/young dynamic or the tax because after the george suspension we only needed to shed 1.1 million. You can do this with drummond or eric gordon who they got rid of anyway.  Morey CHOSE to give him away because he gave up on him completely.

Its a Morey ego thing and i really believe that.  Either Morey was hyping him up and he felt spurned by him for a bad start or Morey just wanted to make the season about him.  He was getting zero buzz because this season was so normal so he shook it up.  Hes a total loser. 

If its not about his ego then the other alternative is he really thought they were selling high.  We will see but its off to just about the worst start imaginable.

Facts... Joel Embiid is the 2nd-highest-paid player in the entire NBA... And what do we get for that 2nd highest? 1st round losses? Play-In? 5th worst team last season... And I've made the case we are only where we are because of guys like Drummond, Oubre, and Grimes looking for their next pay check... Where would we be without those 3? Because we know that Embiid can't do it, we would have seen it already... But it's mainly for not being available. Why have we been the 6th seed all season? I'm sure Embiid won't be the reason why in your eye... Here is the deal... You can't make the 2nd-most money in the league and not play and think you have a chance to win a championship...

Facts... Paul George is the 13th highest-paid player in the entire NBA... Crazy to think George makes more than Donovan Mitchell, Anthony Edwards, and so many other guys... Even more crazy, how does someone like George make more than Maxey who is the future Franchise if not already?

Sadly... As much as I wanted Tobias Harris to leave... And let me be frank, it was only because he was paid like a superstar... With the Pistons, he is only making $26,634,146... That is 25 million less than George... The Reason why GL talent plays PF... Imagine what we could do with 25 million? Availability? Harris 43 games, George 27... What would 16 more games of a real NBA option have done?CHECK MATE...

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results... For a decade Joel "Mr. Glass" Embiid has been injured, sick, some unlucky ailment, etc. whatever you want to call it... He's only getting older... The guy is put together by glue and rubber bands for crying out loud... We can't get over the hump because of him... And because of his constant unavailability, we have never had true chemistry... We let so much talent walk away to win now for Joel... I'm getting sick and tired of having to rant and the franchise does absolutely nothing... maxeys availability leads to 30 wins, there is no maxey era at his current level.  A small guard who cannot distribute at an elite level or impact the game if his three isnt falling is not a #1 guy never will be a number 1 guy.

The best ability is ability.  We will be the wizards once joel can no longer play due to dust in his knees.  The Embiid era is not a failure, Kruk is right when they are a rouding error from a championship it just didnt work out. 

In terms of replacements or option B isnt that supposed to be Maxey?  Why cant he lead this team to wins?  Hes an all nba player, every other all nba player can lead their team to wins with half their roster missing.  Why can't ours?  Your boogie man of Embiid is misplaced and you'll see when he leaves.  There is no replacement for a top 5 talent in team history and arguably #1.  Theres no giannis or jokic replacement either is there?  His two closest contemporaries for this era.  Giannis is less than 1cm from never making it past the 2nd round.  Remember KD's fat foot that would have sent them packing?  But instead it went to overtime.  Think about that, then think about Bens meltdown in 21 and then think about the kawhi shot. 

Let me remind you that we started 2-13 last year with Maxey while trying to win and KNOWING that Embiid would not be available.  Before we started to tank.  And they are 12-16 this year without him and 21-12 with him.  Almost twice as many wins with vs without.  Availability doesnt seem to be the best ability now does it?  And this is Joel at well well below his peak physical ability.

Think of all the bs we have endured in this era.  And your takeaway is that its all Embiids fault.  Just doesnt add up at all.  He hasnt been perfect, nobody is, yet that is what you are asking.  And once again injuries are not his fault yet you act like it is a moral failing on his part to get his face broken 3 times and to have 3 knee surgeries and 2 foot surgeries. 

Its upsetting to me that you cannot enjoy watching one of the best talents in league history play ball for the home team.  You just complain and complain about him.  You have said yourself that you are a broken record when it comes to him.  He is winning by more points per minute in the playoffs than all but the warriors dynasty.  We win when hes on the court at a historic rate and rating, we lose when he is off the court at a historic rate and rating.  Conclusion = Embiid is the problem??  The UNAVAILABILITY of Joel Embiid = twice as many wins??  Make it make sense and let me remind you that if his contract were disappeared tomorrow we'd have like 4 million dollars to spend.  Who is this difference maker we get with 4 mil?
