Sixers Forum / Re: A reason to trade McCain

As much as fans may not want to hear this it is the only real move they can make.

I mentioned the same thing last week. If that is what the 76ers do and Grimes leaves at the end of the year that would leave the 76ers with 2 guards. That would mean Kelly Oubre would have to rotate between Sf and PG. However Oubre is normally not a good shooter,so how would he be a backup 2 guard. We have no draft picks in 2026.

You may not even get a good player back in return let alone weaken your backcourt this year and even more next year.

Here is what has to to happen. The 76ers need to pick up 2
players in the trade with one player being a guard and the other a PF or center.

I agree the draft is loaded. Yaxel might slip to as low as 15-17 if he keeps shooting low volume. He took 6 shots last night.

He was so dominant with UAB. He looked like a man among boys. now he’s playing this unselfish basketball like Bobby Jones and trying to get everybody involved. I wanted him to score more because he is  such a solid  player that people need to see.I don’t want him to go into Ben Simmons mode.

He will be on national TV Saturday against Maryland so I want t see him score  in the 20s.

Yaxel Lindeborg has the backwards dunk, but this guy is a real player in more ways than one Playing on a team where the guards are trying to make a name for themselves. I hope he does not hurt himself in the draft. It did not hurt Vince Carter when Shamont Williams never saw a shot he didn't like. Go Wolverines! The team that takes no prisoners.

I don't think anyone can erase ur post except Cowboys maybe.  Anyway, this post started about a single dunk, not how good or bad Sallis is.

I was not impressed. You saw dunks by Ricky Council. I am sure that impressed you.

Somebody erased my post so I will say it again. Hunter Sallis stinks. He has no game on either end of the court.

I am hoping Michigan slams Villanova tonight. I saw North Carolina beat a solid Georgetown team yesterday and Gonzaga looked like a machine beating Northern Florida by over 40 points last night.

Mostly a fun game to watch.

Joel played how I think he needs to play, just didn't make shots. But that's part of the long term conundrum with him. If he's mostly an offense only player now, and he's only gonna get you 40 games a year and 10 of those he's gonna shoot poorly... what are we really doing with him?

In crunch time can't try to play through Joel even in a 2 man game. It's never been a recipe for success, never will be. He's going to want to dribble into mediocre shots or simply turn the ball over.

The small ball to end games is absolutely mind boggling. Its costing us games. This is also a game that illustrates why McCain should NOT be a long term fixture of a maxey led title contender. Absolutely need to trade him for a front court player as soon as as he's established value.

I think you have something with a possible McCain deal, but the frontcourt player has to be a guaranteed success for the 76ers in this trade. McCain can score but his defense is worse than Shamet.

This game was a lost opportunity for the 76ers to show they can beat a good team. The 76ers in my eyes are probably a 8th seed. They are 4-10 against playoff teams for a reason.

I think he played Lowry last night cuz when Maxey went out the other night vs GSW...the PG position fell apart.  Grimes, VJ, and McCain just kept TOs and couldn't initiate anything cuz they aren't true PGs.  I think NN learned a lesson and played Lowry a few mins w George to alleviate that problem.  He didn't hurt the team, so i'm good.

Vaild points,GM

I am expecting New Orleans to make a big trade by Feb 5th. They want multiple first round picks for Jones or Murphy. I am not giving a lot for Herb Jones,so I am out on Herb Jones. I love Murphy. He has size and can go on fire- mode very easily. The price of 2 first round picks and probably McCain would be too high for me. I do love Trey Murphy. At 6Ft 8" that is good size for a SF. Right now Murphy is averaging 20 points per game.

After the Lakers game on Sunday we don't have to play until Friday Dec 12th and then play on the 14th. Kelly Oubre should return by then with Watford expected back around the 18th of December. Nick Nurse had another crazy moment last night playing Lowery, but I expect that from Nurse.

Jabari Walker, keep up the good work. He is shooting 50% from 3 point range in his last 4 games.Keep fighting Jabari and you will succeed.. Mr Bigshot Quentin Grimes with 22 points and 5 turnovers, lol. He hits big shots.

We saw last night if a team has size and those players take advantage of their size it creates big problems for the opposition. Gonzaga has 1 6ft 9' forward and a 6ft 10' forward  that play power basketball and Kentucky could not stop it last night night as Gonzaga beat Kentucky 94-59. Ike had 28 pts and 10 rebounds. He will kill you on the inside at 250 pounds. Brandon Huff was posting up all night scoring 20 points. Foster at 6ft 7' is normally a good scorer, but he did not have to score last night with 4 points, but he has talent. He averages 11 points and 6 rebounds from the guard position.

Trump 2028

If I lived in the USA the only people I would vote for are Trump, Ron De Santis, and Pam Bondy. People who are 30 and under are being duped by radical Islam which is the only real enemy going forward. Democrats are like. 99 pound weaklings. They are so easily fooled and they even have some that support people that hate Western culture.  Up with Western culture and hell for radical Islam.

Not at all. Connecticut is very good. Two teams with no great records at this time because of very competitive  tournaments are Florida 4-3 and Syracuse 5-3.. Those tournaments with so many solid teams do not indicate how good the losing teams really are. Iowa State is very tough. I love Michigan State,BYU which has AJ Dybanza and Florida has Boogi Fland who transferred from Arkansas. St Johns is very good.Iowa who I think is highly overrated faced a very strong Mich St team 3 days ago. I watched the game and Iowa got pearl-harbored by Mich St.North Carolina is very tough because they have Wilson and Veesaar who are 6ft 10' and 7ft tall. Both are  tough players to stop. They beat Kansas. Duke is very strong because they are anchored by 6ft 9" Cameron Boozer. His brother also plays for Duke.

Louisville roster has Mikel Brown who will be an excellent pro guard in the near future. His game is under control. Good passer and an excellent shooter from anywhere. Darryn Peterson for Kansas has missed the last few games with an injury, but this guy can play either guard position. At 6ft 5" he will have a solid career in the NBA.

It's a strong 2026 draft and the 76ers will go to the draft without any clothes on.
