Saturday, the Phillies announced that Klentak “stepped down” as GM after nearly five years on the job. Klentak, who has two years remaining on his contract, will remain in the organization in an unspecified role. Middleton said Andy MacPhail will remain as team president and Ned Rice will be interim general manager.Oct 3, 2020


Fuld was announced as Klentak's success on December 22, 2020.  Dombrowski came aboard in 2021.

It would appear that Klentak played a meaningful role in hiring Caleb.

But I get it, he looks too normal to be embraced by Philly fans.
