Packers kicker was born in Philly, went to college at Temple.

Hmm.

He went to North Penn High School about 1/2 hour north of Philly.  McManus was 10/10 on FG with Denver on their way to a winning a Super Bowl.  Of course, that was 10 years ago.

Cutter Cup is a made up Philly thing, raise the banner!!

Never heard of it.  Sounds like something you made up to deal with the Flyers kicking the Ducks teeth in three straight times by a combined 14-3 score.

Congrats on winning your annual Cutter Cup, raise the banner

Is that anything like the NBA Cup you slobber over?

Sorry, not sorry your boy's team lost to the Flyers again and that the Ducks aren't as good as you made them out to be early in the season.

Def has a bearing on Jett. 2 years in a row flyers thought he was ready

Love the 200 ft player buzzword. You forgot great culture guy

Jett is 19.  Nobody thought he'd be ready at 18 last year.  Young players need time to develop before they're ready for the NHL.  They can't all be a Celebrini.

Use whatever terminology you want to describe Dvorak.  He plays well in both the offensive & defensive zones.  Can do so at center or wing.

Flyers always overpay in pretty much every aspect. Love this pseudo rebuild. Speak volumes what they think about the jett and nesbitt.

Not thrilled with the 5 years and NTC.  But resigning Dvorak has no bearing on Jett nor Nesbit.  Dvorak can also play the wing and is a 200-ft player.

How would you guys rate MI7: Final Reckoning?  My sis n law had me in tears saying Cruise looks so old and still out there doing stunts...lol.  He's played Ethan Hunt for a long time...lol.  My favorite character is Paris.  She is badass for sure.  I love Benji too, for comedy relief.  Anyway, the movie was just ok for me.  The storyline was interesting though.  The underwater scene was just toooooo dang long.  MI, Ghost Protocol, and Fallout were my favorites.

Binged watched Tulsa King S2.  It was pretty good.  Loved that Samuel Jackson gets a spin off.  Stallone fits that role like a glove.  Waiting on Alex Cross, Night Agent, and Lincoln Lawyer next month.

Once Mayor of Kingstown is completed, I'll binge it.  Can't stand waiting week to week for a show.  Technology got me spoiled cuz there was a time when thats all you could do...no VCR, no DVD, no streaming, nothing.  Either watch or wait for the reruns...

Cruise is nuts, probably literally, with all the stunts he does.  I liked the MI movies.  Final Reckoning was good.  The underwater scene was key to the movie.  Had a sad ending for some of the cast, but given it was the final one, can't complain too much.

Never saw Tulsa King.  Will have to look into it.  Love the Alex Cross books but thought the series was just ok.  Hopefully the 2nd season is better.  Looking forward to Lincoln Lawyer.  Just finished the new book The Proving Ground and enjoyed it.  Funny that I always picture Matthew McConaughey in the role while reading, but I really like Manuel Garcia-Rulfo in the series role.

Also finished the latest Reacher book over the holidays Exit Strategy.  It was okay.  Looking forward to the next season of that show as well.

they are playing well and are still only 6th in their conference, its good to see, they've survived the kruk jinx on the disney trip so there is hope for this year may result in a playoff birth.

Using points, the Flyers are 6th.  However, they have games in hand on other Eastern teams.  If you go by winning percentage (Points/(Games*2), the Flyers are actually tied with Tampa for 2nd in the East.  Only Carolina has a better winning percentage.

If you want to look at the entire league, the Flyers are tied for 5th behind Western powers Colorado, Dallas & Minnesota.  Carolina would be 4th.

I can't wait for Hurts to start calling our plays again.

Hurts should have the authority to check out of plays.  But KP's comment is ridiculous.  If it wasn't week-18, I'd have to think there would be a change in the play caller.

Every year it's gonna be different for most teams.  Heck, PHI don't look nothing like last season's team.  They've won some games, but it looks nothing like last season.  It's been a struggle.  Thats the thing about the NFL, you can go from worst to first in any given season.

Lions, Vikings, Commanders & Chiefs all took big steps back this season.  While the Patriots & Bears greatly improved over last year.  Happens every NFL season.

Eagles W-L record has fluctuated, but they've been a steady playoff team all five years under Sirianni.  Heck, since Andy Reid took over in 1999, the Eagles have made the playoffs 18x in 26 seasons.  In the 38 years before Reid, the Birds only made the playoffs 6x.  This is definitely the best era of Eagles football.

you sound like you're defining yourself. it is what he is told to do. it has nothing to do with him being stupid or impaired. he initiates when the snap comes. it is
designed by the geniuses that run the offense.

Cam identifies the MIKE and calls out the blocking assignments.  Steen looks back at Jalen to make sure he sees the same thing and doesn't change the assignments.  Once confirmed, Steen slaps Cam to let him know they're good.  The Eagles have done this for years.

That was started by the Rangers, IIRC.  Bringing the dads along on a road trip.

It's a league-wide tradition that supposedly was started by the Nashville Predators in 1999.  Coach Barry Trotz was looking for a way to build team chemistry and got the idea from a story he read about the Buffalo Sabres, who invited the father of a rookie playing his 1st NHL game to a road game so he could see his son's debut.  The Predators beat the Sabres & Devils on that two-game road trip with the fathers.  So, it cemented an annual tradition for the team.  Other NHL teams followed suit.

NBA players get off for load management throughout the season.  No such nonsense with NHL players.  Give them a few days off for Christmas to rest up for the 2nd half of the season with a lot of games crammed in due to the Olympic break in February.

go flyers brick by brick

how about it? math is simple. a loss is a loss. only in the nhl it is masked as something else in a diff category.

10 regulation losses. 7 OT losses. How many losses does that add up to?

Math is simple:

18x2 +7 = 43 points
43 / (2 * 35) = 0.614 points percentage

Think Vegas & Edmonton fans are complaining about 18 & 19 losses?  Or more content with their points in the standings?

Enough of your negativity even after a solid 5-2 win.
