Hope all is well, CAM!  Hopefully just chilling out with family & taking a break.  Sometimes, sports can be as frustrating as politics(?).

Joe, I lost a terrific son in law yesterday on my Anniversary too by the way. He worked for Johnson and Johnson but had to take the mandatory jabs and the boosters to keep working. He was not working with the jabs department but had to have them anyway. He died of a heart attack yesterday from those jabs. He was in perfect health and was a former football player and a coach for kids in all sports. He left behind two sons and made my youngest daughter a widow at 40 years of age!

No words can suffice, RBI.  God Bless you and your family.

Can you define "hateful propaganda"?

..WAITING..

Again, I don't even look at Bannon, or any of the "pundits" and their "opinions". Just curious as to what is "hateful" propaganda of anyone not left of Stalin?
I've seen what (for example) flaming Communist Maxine Waters (sp?) spews. Is it similar to that?

And how come you leave the GOP and Rupert and Bannon out of the conversation like they’re all neutered and euthanized instead of actively spreading their hateful propaganda?

Am NO fan of the Uniparty "GOP", or faux, and have only seen Bannon clips of what others have posted (as I don't "follow" any media blowhards), so will ask you:
Can you define "hateful propaganda"?

It's all a step below a Stone Cold Austin vs. Booker T shoot, but what exactly is "hateful"?
(I literally hate it all, but that does not count).

If the news ain’t the news, than who is the news?

The documentary explains it much better than I can in a post (which is why I had suggested to bookmark and watch on a slow sports day, as people have busy lives).  Am hoping people will research the historical facts and form OWN conclusion instead of taking anyone else's word for anything. LOOK into who/what controls all of the big media conglomerates, as it's all public record - they don't even hide it. (I don't even own a TV, but do have to be around one sometimes.)

Favorite HST quote:
“If I'd written all the truth I knew for the past ten years, about 600 people - including me - would be rotting in prison cells from Rio to Seattle today. Absolute truth is a very rare and dangerous commodity in the context of professional journalism.”

As far as the Inky:  They are no less fake and controlled than the other mainstream pravda. Haven't read them since Dolson & Lyon retired/Stark's Week In Review" left.
Have seen Inky news items posted on forums. If a carjacker/murderer/rapist/armed robber is non-white, they'll report it as "a thin man in his 30s wearing a dark hoodie and blue jeans".  Really helps the people in the city who could be looking out for a dangerous person....  ALL of mass pravda is CFR/Communist-controlled; Fox no diferent than CNN. Just different scripts to rile emotion & keep distracted.
I get news, believe it or not, from Sports message forums in the respective cities. Sports fans, for some reason, are a dam GOLDmine when it comes to big stories.

I read along as Bruins' fans ridiculed ALL of the cable & network "news" channels in real time throughout the Boston bomber saga, as these Bruins fans were WAY ahead of whatever TV was reporting. (They had scanners, knew FF & PO, etc.)  They even caught the "news" channels stealing and STILL mis-reporting what they posted and even worse, reported what they speculated on as "news"!

Same with big airplane crashes: Airliner net and another pilot forum's moderators had to ask their forum members to stop posting their theories because the cable "news" channels were reporting it as "fact".  One forum member saw his watermarked example of what one plane resembled air on the "news" channels as "the plane" that crashed.

Lurk a cruise message board when something big happens on a vessel, especially Carnival Cruise Lines. People ON the vessels have posted how they can't believe what crap "news" channels are telling their viewers...

Oh I detest it ALL beyond words.

Want to call me a racist and bigot to my face, Azzhole?

This "Saul Alinsky" would with a bunch of his comrades behind him.  It's the oldest Communist tactic, and straight out of the Saul Alinsky "Rules For Radicals" playbook.   They'll call you a "bigot", "far right", and everything else you're not because anything not to the left of Stalin is "far right".  (Has "SaulAlinsky" called you a homophobic sexist raycissss hitler nazi yet? If not, he's definately SLACKING!)

CPUSA’s modus operandi is to delegitimize and smear American society by depicting it as deeply and irremediably infested with racism, sexism, homophobia, and all manner of injustice  archive.is/wip/xoqhd ;    https://archive.ph/519mG

45 Communist Goals (from the book, "The Naked Communist") were read into Congressional Record back in 1963. Don't want to make too long a post. Hope more people will see these ALL-TOO familiar (then) "goals" which are today's realities because THESE are what we need to REVERSE somehow: https://archive.ph/cgbDt

you are a democrat

Not just “democrat”.  Just noticed the sig of person you replied to and there’s a word for it (begins with C):
And all those who had faith were at the same place and owned all things communally.

And dude the free press died decades ago. There are very few actual reporters out there. The news outlets ALL get the scripted words to push on the people from the CIA. Believe it or not but it's a fact!
There were many longer videos proving so with literal news anchor footage, but they appear to have been scrubbed.  Here's a more recent one:

(BTW, ever notice them ALWAYS saying “Democracy” when this country is a Republic?)

Fact is, mainstream media (ALL of it) is not "news".  It's a combination of Hunter S. Thompson's Gonzo Journalism and propaganda approved by those who sponsor it, beginning with the CFR.

For Phillies’ (& other teams’) off-days, perhaps some may be interested in bookmarking this older documentary for an off-night, and watch with an open mind.   54:08 58:05 long.  https://youtu.be/OWhfKXPoSsM

« on: August 12, 2022, 07:19:23 pm »
I'd like to know if your reasons are based more on his personality, business dealings, or actual job performance. Thanks.
First I'd suggest looking at every crevice of the guy's history, especially who loved him until he ran in '15. It's not even about "Trump". It's what he stands for.
Take a glance, just skim over these 45 goals.  It’s the Congressional Record of Jan 10, 1963: https://archive.ph/cgbDt
Of the scant few not yet accomplished, you see they are working on right now. They don’t even hide it anymore.

35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].
You'll see that the others have all been checked off.

Just one former Communist who testified before the HUAC:  Manning Rudolph Johnson was a Communist Party USA African-American leader and the party's candidate for U.S. Representative from New York's 22nd congressional district during a special election in 1935. He later left the Party and became a government informant and witness.
See his own writings and testimonies here: https://archive.is/1Gqvm

There is SO much more, but start with these. It's all public record, and Johnson's sworn testimony. (He also wrote a book.)

Look into Project Mockingbird if you get a moment. They admitted it!  Look into who owns and controls literally everything "mainstream".  Whether fox or cnn, they exist to keep you entertained and distracted.

Going to put extra emphasis on this (repost), as an apparent Pallone worshipper (posted elsewhere here) is considering this "nutty", or whatever juvenile terms they tend to chronically spew:

L.A. TIMES ARCHIVES  SEPT. 23, 1988  Pallone took a voluntary leave of absence from his umpiring duties last week... The Associated Press reported that Pallone had been told by the league that he would be fired at the end of the season if he did not resign immediately.   https://archive.ph/jWBYm

In a league where umpires can be beyond bad and not get fired, wonder what could have been that bad? Guess teenage boys will do that...

Oh RBI, don't know what happened with Neyer. (Never "followed" him or any writers, or watched fox or espn).  FWIW, here's what his website says:    I have been enjoying the extra time with my daughter, but am willing to consider any high-paying, low-effort professional opportunities.   https://robneyer.com/
He most likely "said too much"....

Looks like Rob Neyer, the LA Times, and the other outlets are (insert juveline name-calling here) for reporting on a corrupt "umpire" who was consistently ranked at the bottom when "umpiring", RBI.
We should know that Pallone is still undoubedly worshipped by a certain segment of the population - for the obvious reasons, of course.

Oh geez. This article from 2014 ( https://archive.ph/VCyC6 )  making Pallone the “victim”, as usual. Nevermind the terrible “umpire” being corrupt whether he’s gay or not:

Dec 3, 2014,  Dave Pallone had sexual relationships with players, and it has nothing to do with Dale Scott, Rob Neyer
Wednesday, FOX Sports' Rob Neyer wrote a column about his interview with former umpire Dave Pallone. In 1990, Pallone wrote a memoir alleging that he was forced out of Major League Baseball after the 1988 season because, he says, "I was gay, and they didn't want the publicity surrounding that to tarnish baseball's macho image. In other words, they were prepared to sacrifice a proven, veteran umpire so they wouldn't look bad." The interview goes on to laud Dale Scott and appreciate that Scott will be the first person on a Major League Baseball field open about being a gay person.

In a separate follow-on column, however, Neyer raises this question:
Tweet  robneyer @robneyer Since we're talking about this, should umpires have sex with players? I'm thinking probably not: http://foxsports.com/mlb/just-a-bit-outside/baseball-joe/blog/dave-pallone-sex-players-umpire-120314… 2:25 PM · Dec 3, 2014·TweetDeck
archive of tweet:  https://archive.ph/2MHUk

From Pallone’s wiki page:  Pallone was overheard saying in an umpire’s meeting that he deliberately stood in front of Reds short stop Dave Concepción to interfere with his fielding. The comment brought surprised stares from those surrounding him and Pallone made no attempt to hide his disdain for the Cincinnati Reds.
Pallone now does diversity training for corporations, colleges, universities and athletes with the NCAA. Pallone was part of the first class of inductees to the National Gay and Lesbian Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.   https://archive.ph/wjILc

Bet they don't let him on the courts or fields to "officiate" and corrupt their games, even more than they probably already are. $$$$$gambling runs ALL of sports.

To this day there is still no proof that rose had an affair with a under aged girl. Dowd lied on Rose on a radio broadcast to attack him publicly and Rose filed a suit against him. Rose later did admit to  an  affair but said  that the girl was even over the age of 16 which was legal in Ohio.

Wonder why nothing came out all those years/decades as Rose was reapplying for reinstatement, and MJS was just one of many advocating for PR? Dowd and those corrupt clowns were too busy having to cover up all the corrupt sht still going on in MLB. Rich Garcia?   Still waiting for the shills' "concern" over the gambling shoved in fans' faces (and ears, if listening on radio)  every second. Wrigley Field was planning to have a betting section put INSIDE the ballpark, itself. Guessing it's completed by now. Don't see protests about "integrity", or the fact that China/TenCent/Nike practically run the sport.

And it is my hunch that Rose didn't play ball with some  real gamblers and  a  fix  was in  against him. Giamatti started it when he stupidly banned Rose for 30 days for bumping an ump. After the ump poked Rose in the face first

BINGO. Remember that slimebag, Pallone like it was yesterday, and we can bet it's just the tip on the iceberg of stuff swept under the rug. Anyone with one eyeball could see Pallone poke PR in the face first.

SEPT. 22, 1988  UPI: NEW YORK -- Dave Pallone, who resigned as a National League umpire Monday, is under investigation as part of an inquiry into alleged sex crimes against teenage boys in Sarasota, N.Y., according to reports.
WRGB-TV in Schenectady, N.Y., aired allegations Monday and Wednesday night that Pallone was in the company of a 14-year-old boy last December. The station quoted a source, whose face was obscured and voice altered for anonymity, that claimed the meeting was arranged by Bill Desadora, a Sarasota businessman who has been charged with sodomy.
The New York Post quoted the station's capital bureau chief, Judy Sanders, that the controversial umpire recently was 'in the company' of a number of the boys and men involved in the case.
The inquiry has produced one sodomy conviction and charges of sodomy against six other men. Pallone has not yet been charged with any crime.
Stewart Jones Jr. of Troy, N.Y., an attorney retained by Pallone, confirmed to New York Newsday that the umpire -- currently on a leave of absence from work -- requested the leave because of the investigation….
At the April 30 New York Mets-Cincinnati Reds game in Cincinnati this season, Reds Manager Pete Rose strongly protested a call at first base, bumping Pallone. Rose subsequently was fined and drew a 30-day suspension. https://www.upi.com/Archives/1988/09/22/Dave-Pallone-who-resigned-as-a-National-League-umpire/8794590904000/

L.A. TIMES ARCHIVES  SEPT. 23, 1988  National League umpire Dave Pallone met with investigators in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., to discuss his alleged involvement in a sex ring involving teen-age boys, his attorney said.
No charges have been filed against Pallone, attorney E. Stewart Jones Jr. said.
Pallone took a voluntary leave of absence from his umpiring duties last week and worked his last game Sept. 15 in Philadelphia. The Associated Press reported that Pallone had been told by the league that he would be fired at the end of the season if he did not resign immediately.   https://archive.ph/jWBYm

SEPT. 20, 1988  LATimes: Several years ago, Pallone publicly said he had run up a gambling debt of more than $1,000 while betting on sports events other than baseball      Yeah, suuuuure. It was never alleged Pallone bet on any baseball games, although his gambling drew concern from baseball officials…. During his time in the majors, Pallone was often among the lowest-rated umpires in the NL.

Pallone admitted an ongoing dispute with Cincinnati’s Dave Concepcion that began in 1983 and confessed he sometimes tried to block the infielder’s view. Last year, Pallone ejected Concepcion for arguing a called strike but later acknowledged, “I missed the pitch.”
Pallone also had a disagreement with then-Montreal pitcher Jeff Reardon, who said the umpire threatened to “bury” him. Pallone denied making that remark.     https://archive.ph/g7l0D

Sorry for rambling.
Take that back!  ;D  Seriously, THIS (your post) is what makes this board.  Honestly don't even remember my screen name.
Probably joined because of a Pete Rose debate going on, as have been fighting MLB's warped hypocracy all over the place since August of '89.  Nick Cafardo (RIP) of the Boston Globe was so very gracious in email discussion. He was advocating for PR's reinstatement when Manfred replaced The Bug, and he couldn't believe all that he'd forgotten, which had been swept under the rug.
They were digging with a fine toothed comb on PR all those years and couldn't come up with one person who could testify to him ever doing anything to compromise a game, or bet against his team. Wonder what makes him so different from Lenny? Oh that's right, Lenny was blackmailing the (gambling) umps!   LD was supposed to spill all in a book. Wonder if he ever did.

Great story! Thank you for sharing it.
He was really a good guy. Funny and good hearted.

Can vouch! His dad was like a drill sargeant but always encouraged him. Another neat thing: He apparently has a photographic memory (similar to Jackie Gleason's, I assume?) because you could ask him anything about a game and he could rattle off any detail  - including plays & managerial moves which he wasn't even involved in - without even pausing to think. It amazes me to this day.
MJS, PR, GLMaddox, Lefty, Nolan Ryan, those Expos especially in the early '80s... we were so lucky to have seen those guys in person - and beyond fortunate to have had those other guys in the (radio for me) booth.
