The move was clearly made for personal reasons.
And that person was Fangio, he simply didn't like CJ.
Problem is, CJ was a good safety. Not a perfect safety, but a big upgrade over the slop we had this year.
By cutting him it forced us to reach for Mukuba in the draft, instead of taking the more logical pikc, Fannin.
Football is a game of inches, and if we had had Fannin and CJGJ in the playoffs instead of an injured Mukuba and the slop we had at safety, I really think we'd be in the NFC title game next week.
Or then again, we could have been there had we started Jihaad over Dean, another bizarre Fangio move.
We all know Patullo is a stunod, but Fangio is supposed to be the smart adult in the room. Did Vic "Philly gawn Philly" it on this one as well?
And Howie, brother, you can't let your coaches force you into making bad moves.
I guess you have to let Vangio do his thing. He will make his share of mistakes like any coach. Most of the fans wondered what happened to Dakorian Bennet that
the Eagles traded for. Vangio stuck with Adorree Jackson who eventually turned out to be a not great but solid 2CB. Maybe CJG refused to properly play Vangios
defense. Vangio appears to be an old school type coach who would rather go with a less talented player who will play his defense then a more talented player who
will not play his defense.
