All we need is for our bench to give us a little more than what it has given us so far. And for Nick to mix in more zone to prevent fatigue.
Thanks bro, appreciate that.
Just go thru the EC teams. They all have playoff questions that will need to be answered.
Detroit — Do they have a capable second scorer when teams inevitably trap Cade into giving up the ball?
NYK — Can they win it all with Brunson at the head of their D & (kitty) KAT as the last line of defense?
Cleveland — Harden’s presence guarantees the Cavs will find a way to implode.
Boston — Their championship muscle memory is carrying them thru the regular season. Not sure if they can make a Finals run with White & Pritchard are their 2nd & 3rd guys.
Toronto — No reason to be taken seriously.
Our biggest issue is health.
Biid basically has two weeks off coming out of the All Star break. PG hopefully won’t find a way to hurt himself during his suspension. Very good chance the two guys we worry about the most regarding health should be in relatively good shape heading into April.
Lastly, outside of the Butler year and the Knicks series, Biid will have a perimeter guy he can actually trust to close games. With Ben & James as lead ball handlers, the offense had to run thru Biid to close games in the playoffs. Biid is still good enough to get his when the games slow down in April/May. Maxey has the courage and skill to close out games instead of having Embiid figure out new ways to lose a perfectly winnable playoff game.
