Sixers Forum / Re: Time for Embiid to take a page from Bill Walton
« on: December 31, 2025, 06:22:33 am »
The face of the franchise and league MVP days are over and yes on certain nights a flash of the MVP can be seen but due to the injuries its over.He playing 30 plus min and only grabbing 5 rbs no defense he is hurting the team more than helping.
Bill Walton was an all-star NBA champion but played important role coming off the bench for the Celtic. Its time for a youth movement and Embiid need to step back and let Maxey and VJ cook
I kind of agree with this ! little guys  right next to him getting easy layups . Did yaw see how many times Ja Morant made a lay up with embiid right there ?  Old Embiid would have sent all those shots to the 2nd level ! Lack of D   isn't  the only problem . the main issue is in 1 game out 4   its destroying the chemistry. I think he simply needs to come off the bench. we need a consistent starting line up. Now Embiid does seem to not get tired like before because hes in better shape but we are also a slower team with him in there.  tired of see smaller guys get rebounds over him just cause he can jump or quickly move to a spot . yes he can still play and Middy is buttery smooth still   we just need some consistency . and how may times is he going to get an illness ?

PG+McCain+Broome for Sabonis+Schroder

The cap math is almost perfect.

We do it to break up PG 3 year contract into 2 smaller and equally valuable pieces.

They do it cause they believe in McCain's star potential, and because Sabonis is gonna be out for some time.

Plus the Kings are trying to tank, so even when Sabonis is ready, they are not gonna want him to play.
you out did yourself this time Krukie !! I been wanting Sabonis for years   i wish we could keep McCain though

Signing with the Nets. He's 1 of 100 guys on that squad.
He is no longer to be called RC4 ! from this point on he will be known as " THE SUPREME COUNCIL "  :D

I have to believe that someone has already offered him a minimum deal.

I don't think anyone has yet offered him more than that.

IF Grimes takes the 1 year tender, that would allow us to offer him the MLE exception.

But what if Grimes takes a multiyear deal instead, that deprives us of the MLE?

Does Ben still take a minimum deal from us over Boston, NY and LA?
Would you really take Ben Back ??  that would be a poop show !!  media would be all over it and we would get the attention we dont want ! The circus kind. dude can defend with the best of them but also when on the court you can do the ole Boston and Heat tactic and just dont guard him and double guys that need to be guarded ..  also cant make free throws and not even willing to draw fouls    NO THANKS .  and dont forget the ramp up talk and before season work out videos with him draining 3's     and dont get me started on the back LOL

Sixers Forum / Re: VJ a full participant in practice today
« on: July 15, 2025, 12:19:10 am »
We got back to backs with the Wizards and Mavs starting tomorrow.

Sadly the Mavs have already shut down Flagg for the rest of the Summer League.  I smell fear in the lone star state.
Get ready for the report that VJ will miss the last two games !!

I don't think Boucher likes Nurse.
Would be a good situation for him here ! he would prolly get time at the 5 with Embiid out   but i am totally fine with Bona at 5 if he doesnt use 6 fouls in 20 minutes  ;D

I love Ricky, but I can see where this story is going.

His roster spot will effectively be taken by someone else by opening day.

Will it be one of our current 2 way guys?

Will it be someone we acquire via trade?

Will it be Trey Lyles?

Or Ben Simmons?

Or will Morey execute the mother of all trolls by bringing PJ Tucker back for one last go?
I agree with IS1531 LOL   last spot will eventually be Boucher  pronounced Boo Shay  ;D

Sixers Forum / Re: This Team is Growing on Me
« on: July 04, 2025, 11:58:39 pm »
I kinda like this team.  Finally got some youth, size, athleticism, and depth.   I believe the bench will finally be an asset.  I like the role players and what they bring to the team.  Now, DM let them grow.  There's gonna be some changes, but not massive ones.  It's very hard changing core pieces every few years.  Mook (Twin) brought this up on a podcast about how DM can identify talent, but he never lets them grow before he's trading or cutting pieces.  Dont know who will start but it'll be some combo of:

PG: Maxey
SG: Grimes/VJ
SF: Oubre/PG
PF: PG/Watford
C: Embiid

Reserves:  McCain, VJ, Edwards, Watford, Bona

Extras:  Drummond, EG, RC4, Broome

There can be some swapping w the lineups now that they got some length.  The SF can be played by Oubre, PG, VJ, Edwards, or Watford.  Switchable players.....FINALLY!!!  No more 6'4 PFs or 6'7 C....lol
This was the Toronto Raptor way   tall athletic guys  that gives you fits on defense  and can shoot a lil bit !   Small ball might work but not short ball LOL

Yeah! The Sixers have an outside chance of winning the division. I'm still waiting for a trade. Simply take the Utah deal while the offer is on the table.
I agree with the Utah trade and the 5th pick ,  so who you taking ? Tre ?

The Celtics received Georges Niang and a second-round pick from the Hawks. Niang making 8 million next year. Kristaps Porziņģis making 30 million. The C's know how to cut salary. Anyone thinking we would get something for Embiid or PG think about this return.
Im worried  the Bostonians  is making room for the Giannis  !!  :(

Sixers Forum / Re: Durant traded
« on: June 22, 2025, 07:53:11 pm »
They did have the assets, but wasn't willing to expend them.  PHX wanted Ware, and Riles made him off limits.
i dont blame them !! Durant 37 years old    i doubt he last as long as LeBron .

Durant basically made it clear that Houston was the only team he'd accept a trade to.
Wait i thought Miami and Houston or San Antonio was on the list

Sixers Forum / Re: Officially 1 Month Since 6 Week Evaluation...
« on: June 18, 2025, 11:38:25 pm »
April 9th... The day Embiid got surgery... May 21st was 6 weeks... I brought up previously that we did not hear anything at all after the surgery...

June 18th... It will mark exactly 1 MONTH AFTER HIS 6 WEEK EVALUATION...

June 26th... The NBA Draft day 2... Back in the day we used to say CYA... Cover Your Arse... I love everything that Bona has brought, but he is only 1 person... It would not hurt to make an investment with the #35 pick...

October 21st... 1st game of the season... 4 months away...

The season is fast approaching, along with the NBA draft, where all will be revealed... The bigger question once we get to Oz, will Embiid be standing behind the curtain? Or will he be MIA? I have come to the conclusion that I will never believe anything until I see it, when it comes to Joel Embiid... Because it matters whether he will be available or not... And if not, how long... These are questions that need to be answered before the season starts... And why might that not happen? Ticket sales of course... Merch and Jersey sales... All the things that go into the NBA... Let's keep it real: if there were no Embiid, many may decide not to attend the games... Many may cut their League Passes... It matters if he's available or not...
I came to the conclusion that hes cooked anyway so anything  positive news  your golden, but i must say the silence frightens me .  Yaw know dawg gone well  if everything is on the up and up they would have posted something. like whats wrong with saying he has not experienced pain as of yet or hes doing off season work outs and no set backs yet . like i said im done anyway

Lrt's see: trade exciting player who showed he can play in the NBA for what reason?
Thank you !!  Why do folks keep throwing McCain's name in there for a trade ? dude balled out before he got hurt  and we want to trade him to  move up one spot to draft a guy who might not be as good as McCain. I think folks just tired of short guys LOL.   I dont want to trade McCain and no part of Durant at 37.   give me Markkanen and 5 for 3 with out throwing McCain in there LOL
