McDaniel would have been the brainy schemer.

He's got a rep for good offensive schemes but I don't think he would have fit in.    He knew it and went to SoCal.

McDaniel to Chargers all but done.

McDaniel had a rough run in Miami.   The team was too soft..  lacked discipline.  It was Camp McDaniel.   He's an odd guy.  Don't know how he would had fared in Philly/

They legit [the safeties]  sucked.

They did have a bad game.  It seemed Blakenship was always out of position or chasing someone but too far to make a play.   The team didn't seem ready to play  a playoff game.  Too many guys had bad games.

Unless CJGJ could play on the OL it didn't matter.   The problem was a diminished offense.  Not enough points and not enough time on the field.   There were multiple things wrong with the offense and its going to take more than a new OC to fix them.

Over his last 10 games, he is averaging 27.5 pts., 7.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1 block. Like it or not, those are great numbers for a center.

He's always generated good numbers.   With Embiid they are 12-10, without him 10-8.  Last 10 games with him 6-4.  Its not his numbers its whether they win with him and what is the future ?   They won't/can't move him but I'd prefer they did and move on.  Last 10 games with him 6-4.

IMO, this is a NN problem.  He allows it.

I don't know if he has the choice to play PG off the bench and not with Embiid.  I agree with you but those 2 are making too much money to sit.  They play a certain way and , again, I don't think he can change it.  Not Embiid.. he's always played the same way regardless of the coach.   PG has just been around so long its like muscle memory now except he doesn't have the same athleticism.  Its got to be frustrating to NN, too.

And as I stated, Joel didn't show up for the entire 4th quarter. Where was he?

He gets tired. Wears down.  Makes mistakes.   He's played a lot in the past couple of weeks and needs a break.  By the post season he's worn out.

I agree, BTW.  Along as he is the focus they aren't going anywhere.  He'll get his points but the team won't progress.

Eagles Forum / Re: 2026: Nick Sirianni

Here's an interesting thought proposal. If Kyle Shanahan was in charge or coach of the Eagles, what is the liklihood they would have won that single game. Taking it a step further, if Nick Sirianni was coach of the 49ers in same game, what are the chances the Eagles win the same game, opposing Sirianni and the 49ers. Finally, does anyone believe that other teams have any concern facing Nick Sirianni himself as a coach or specifically the roster on this team and perhaps mainly game plan how to beat Vic Fangio and the defense?

In case you haven't thought about, just another way to look at it.

Teams always have plans to attack the Eagles defense.  Fangio has been around forever and they know his tendencies.   Its just a matter of talent and execution.  Shanahan's plan worked pretty well but the Eagles offense helped him a lot.   The offense has had the same issues all season so teams schemed to defeat it and, by the post season, there are no mysteries.   I don't think Sirianni or KP come into the picture personally.  Its all on film.

If the system hasn't changed then the players, and their execution, did.   Green Bay [way back in the Sixties] ran a very simple offense and simply dared anyone to stop them.   The opposing teams knew what was coming but couldn't.   Other teams have done the same thing through the years.    Last year's team was that way.  There were no surprises just dominance across the OL and a terrific RB.   Stop us if you can was their 'system'.   Well teams do adjust and players get hurt and age and suddenly they can stop the plays.   The Eagles didn't make any adjustments when it was pretty obvious that the OL wasn't the same caliber as last season.   That's on the coaches.   Last season they changed after the first 4 games because it wasn't working.   This season they just kept doing the same things.  KP had to go but the FO has to look at Sirianni, too.

It was you being hypocritical being out in public because you were bored but then hiding behind a row of potted plants whenever people showed up. And then telling us how dumb and selfish they were he he

I wasn't be hypocritical I merely stated that the older folks probably shouldn't be out in public at that time.  It was early in the pandemic and little was known except that it was far worse for the elderly.  I was working not shopping for incidentals.   Should I have been home as well instead of working ?  Maybe but I was, am, a very healthy individual with no underlying issues.    I'm retired and was working 2 days a week and not in the garden department so where the hiding stuff came from I'm not sure.   I never did get COVID.

He was poking me because he likes to do that and that's cool.   We're fine with each other.

You were 100% wrong.

Kruks, you don't even know what the discussion was about.   It wasn't about vaccines or masks.   It was just maycock and I jousting over a topic.

Re:  Becton and LAC

Mekhi Becton's issues with the Chargers involve a combination of his ongoing injury struggles, public frustration with how the coaching staff managed his health and snap counts, poor on-field performance, and a highly publicized personal scandal, leading to widespread disappointment with his big free-agent signing and questions about his future with the team.

Who knows what really was going on out there but he did get dinged a lot here.

From L.  McCoy...

Former Eagles running back LeSean McCoy claims to have receipts on the Eagles’ offensive downfall this season.

During a Sunday appearance on the “Speakeasy” podcast — following Philadelphia’s 23-19 loss to the 49ers in the NFC wild-card game — McCoy explained that people within the Eagles organization believe quarterback Jalen Hurts limits the potential of their offense.

“I need you to be special and make plays,” McCoy said, referring to Hurts. “I did a lot of digging, man, and I won’t throw them under the bus here, but I know some people and the problem is, we can’t do different exotic looks, different formations or different motions because I’m hearing that he can’t really do it.”

Yes we can and should compare, as it’s the job of the Eagles to put someone in the position that can at least produce average offense with the highest paid offensive unit.

Sure, Maycock, I forget how useless it is to have a discussion with you.  I agreed with you and you still have to have the last word.
