Flyers and goalies.  How disappointing.

excellent performance against a really good stars team. tippett with a highlight reel goal. great team win. tippett for giroux? i think we won.

I've only been keeping lose tabs on the flyers but did happen to catch that awesome goal last night.

In the post game there was a question at Tippet about the 'system' they are deploying that puts more emphasis on the offensive players? Anybody here no what that is about?  Is it a staggered line change deal?

another big win. this is all going to come to a crashing halt, right? this team didn't become good overnight? danny briere and keith jones are that brilliant? flyers haven't played this well in a long time. colorado a big test. hopefully makar is still out.

Well, whenever I start watching it seems to evaporate but the bit I'm seeing...a healthy couturier and konecny may make enough of a difference in what seems to me the league with the most parity...that and goaltending?

Tuned in late.  Tobias' play versus Beverly's is the answer to Boston.  You have to play a tough game expecting physicality and as best as you can fight through it.  going up for a soft lay-in and crying about not getting the call isn't going to ever work against.  May not win either way but it's about giving it your best fight.

Thats all I got on this one.

Its Embiid.

If the league wants us to win all he has to do is take it strong and he'll get the call.  Can win it from the line.  I think he knows it and part of him doesn't want it to be given.  But he doesn't have a 'take it' set of moves.  Either his shot is falling or it isn't.

Schedule gets harder over next 10. Starting with the 2 teams right below us in the Eastern Schedule. Will be cool to see how good teams adjust seeing us a 2nd time.

v IND
v BOS
@ ATL
@ BK
v CLE
@ MIN
@ OKC
v LAL
@ NO
@ BOS

I got 'em at 6-4 in this stretch of 10 and 14-5 after 19. What do you guys think?

I'm so up on them that other than boston or the Nuggets I just assume they'll win.  But I guess 7-3 would be more realistic.

Oh Ben Simmons

That year I was slow to get on that wagon.  I didn't like he wasn't shooting in college and so was leaning Ingram but at 6'10 and able to defend all 5 spots figured I was being too contrarian.  Take the guy built to play the game.

It's a shame he is seemingly such a head case because his floor should have been a solid point-forward and an interesting PG.  Instead, it turned into a PG that won't shoot and shirks any other role.

I know a player is still worth having talent-wise if when I imagine them as a Celtic I flinch.  Boston would have made the most of Simmons somehow.

8
as it stands I have them in the top tier with Boston and the Nuggets

as the 3rd team on that tier but on that tier.

is that about right?  am I shortchanging the Bucks or Warriors or Suns?

9
I only skim headlines but the general vibe out there was that getting Lilliard was a slam dunk for the Bucks.  Some had them as the team to beat because of it.  I'm sure they'll be OK but goes to show big names don't guarantee anything.

Even before Maxey re-maxing his career max (I can't help myself sometimes) I was in no rush for a star...at least not one that would be ball dominant.

Now...

And looking up and seeing how Clippers are doing....and Milwaukee for that matter?

Let it bake as is.

And no more getting hit by cars and breaking ribs, please.

He went to the barbershop this morning...and on this morning of all mornings...on a week where the Eagles beat the Cowboys and a day after the 76ers beat the Celtics...decides to bring up the Phillies and how they got beat because Arizona's manager outcoached them.

I hate this guy, on other teams.  Memphis is dead.  I think him along side Maxey would be great, he's no star but he's a great role player.  I think he can be had, his age doesn't really fit Memphis and that team is a train wreck.  Batum's $$, some filler like Springer and whatever else it takes with a highly protected first that turns into two seconds, would that get it done?  I have no clue but I think he would be a perfect fit.  Then I'd get OG, same kind of player, not a star but excellent role player, allows Obere ()spl?) to go back to the killer 6th man.  Melton and Obere leading the second squad seems to be a better fit than adding Levine, the guy from Cleveland is a different story, if they can get Mitchell, forget all the above!

I'm in just for the superstition he'd be good luck against Boston, or help break their hex on us.

I dont think you can know what this team really truly needs to win a championship until you've seen this group... Joel, Maxey, Tobias, Nurse... in the playoffs, first.

We've been given a gift, flexibility/optionality. Let's not squander it. I'd look for guys that can fill the gaps for cheap, ie cost a couple 2nds, and who are either on small contracts or also on expirings. Make the team as good as you can this season but without damaging flexibility.

The worst thing they could do is exhaust the picks and cap space to lock in a core that still isn't capable of getting past the first round. That hopelessness would surely press Joel into requesting a trade.

This is where I'm at.  Part of getting rid of Harden that is so freeing is to have one less ball-dominant guy on the court.  It looks like some guys have been waiting for the chance to step up and are.  I love seeing that.  If it was guy that can fit in easily and be low maintenance then sure...but I'm not in a rush to find a well known name to lock the ball to.

Anytime we have 4 guys who is scoring over 19ppg. Man we have not seen that since Moses  andrew toney Dr.j .

    Oubre is real
    Harris is real
    Maxey
and Joel  is the system..... I think we are really good. Better than we even know. What say you.   Covington ,Furken  Morris Reed melton Morris... I think we are going to get better.

     WHAT SAY YOU??????

I may be permanently damaged from the process days but I prefer not having too many stars, especially ones the ball sticks too.  I like that there is room for guys to step up on any given night.  I'm not in a rush to go 'star' hunting.
