Around the NBA 2026
« on: February 22, 2026, 10:27:44 pm »
Haliburton has shingles.  Perfectly normal stuff.

Rockets lose again, they are 3-4 since we acquired their pick.

Silver saying he'll eliminate the draft if that's what it takes to eliminate tanking.  I'm personally in favor of eliminating all drafts.

Hornets back to winning after a minor heat check.  Pistons are a good bet to get bounced in round 1 if either one of us or the Hornets are their round 1 opponents.

Heat and Magic are hot on our tail for the 6 seed.

Will the Spurs ever lose again?

What exactly isn’t normal about shingles? Can’t wait for this one.

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Rom 8:31)

I've had it. Not fun.

BBall Paul doing some work in the last three games with Duren missing two and Stewart missing a bunch.

Against the Raptors: 33 minutes, 22 points (10 for 17), 5 boards, 3 assists, 3 steals and 4 blocks
Against the Knicks:  29 minutes, 18 points (7 for 9), 6 boards, 2 assists, 3 blocks
Against the Bulls (Duren was back): 19 minutes, 15 points (7 for 11), 9 rebounds

Had a really nice game vs NYK…I watched that one.  I doubt he’ll be in DET next season.  Paul bout to make a lil coin.

We cut him so that we could sign Drummond and Caleb Martin.

Martin got us Grimes and his Bird rights.

I think we made out OK, but imagine what could have been had Doc trusted Joe and Reed.

I can. They would still be in the exact same spot they are today. on a road to nowhere.

The Spurs win streak continues.

Embiid and Giannis may be the only players who can stop Wemby.

IMO Cavs is the best team in the East.I Don’t think any East team will be able to beat them in a 7 game series.

Can the Cavs win games when losing the 3 point battle?

That to me is the real metric for how far a team will go in the playoffs.

The last F to avg 20ppg for PHI was Tobias, and before that it was Dr J.  DOCTOR J played in the 80s.  Tobias did it mostly as a PF.  No AI9, no PG, no JB.  SMDH.  JB, was great and came close w avg 18ppg during his time in PHI.  The NBA is a G/F or WINGs league.  To have a premier guard/wing duo in this league is the gold standard IMO.  Jokic, Wemby, and a healthy Jo don't fit that but they are on a different level.  Just looking in the East the Fs are really good.  Jaylen Brown, Bridges (both), OG, Jalen Johnson, Barnes, Ingram, Mobley, Miller, Siakam, MPJ, Powell, Giannis, Mobley.  I love Oubre, but he's not on these guys level.  PG once was, but not anymore.  And I won't even insult you w the others in PHI.  If PHI had just 1 above board young starting quality 3&D F who could just ball.  It's imperative for this franchise to find a hungry young F.  They don't need to avg 20, but they need to be a baller.  And another thing....Ive asked this before, but why can't PHI find a Euro who can ball like every other team in the league?  Was Furkan it?  TLC?  Petrusev?  LOL!!!   Where's our Mirotic?  Our Petrovic?
