Phillies Board / Re: Phils are beating the worst teams in the game

Atlanta has also been really attacked with the IL stints by their SP's and other players too. The Phils have who on the shelf that is an impact player? And it's not like the Braves doesn't have the best offense in the NL by far, or even in all of baseball, either.  The Braves have a .290 BA as a team but their problem has been with their health on the mound. They are 21st in baseball in pitching ERA and they are number 11 in the NL.

Just goes to show that good pitching will keep you in the games but you still need a good offense to win. While the Braves BA as a team is .290, the Phils BA is .237 despite being number 2 in the NL in ERA.

I know how good Atlanta is.  My point was even with how good they are, they still lost games to the White Sox & Marlins.  And I had already pointed out to you that Atlanta's opponents had a much worse record so far this season compared to the Phillies' opponents.

The best teams are going to lose 60 games or so.  The worst teams are going to win 60 games or so.  Sometimes the worst beats the best.  That's baseball.  If the Phillies lose a game to the White Sox this weekend, it's not the end of the world.  Just like beating them isn't a guarantee of a parade on Broad St.

Yes, of course. That's an easy one. Here's a tougher one: Sabonis, Keegan Murray and the Kings 1st in 2026 and 2028 for Embiid.

The moron who wrote the article thought Jimmy's beef with Brett was fake.

Which is understandable, cause most Philadelphians are borderline retarded and Brett in that sense was relatable to them.

And yes, it was effectively a retirement for him as far as winning titles go.  The Heat have had an average winning% equating to 47.6 wins per year since getting Jimmy.  And that's with everything going as well for them as Jimmy could have possibly hoped for.

Jimmy knows full well that he'd have 2-3 rings on his finger now if he had stayed in Philly.

Awesome.  Still doubling down on falling for a clearly satirical article.

Tell us all again how you have no problem laughing at yourself and admitting when you’re wrong….

I love them….the color scheme, the hats, and the lettering.  These and the red ones are my favorites.

Red
City Edition
Powder Blue
Off White/Cream
Pinstripe White
Grayish
Burgundy (the worst)

The White Sox split their two games with the Braves.  Atlanta also lost a game to the 4-16 Marlins.  Doubt many people are ashamed of the Braves because of those losses.

So what is the reason you think that no team has taken A level talent at bargain prices.

A level talent? You lost me with that comment. Are you saying that Bauer is A level talent?

Look in terms of pitching talent and forget the rest. You only need a pitcher to pitch. Not solve the world's problem's or lead the team as the team Captain, or hit or anything else. All they have to do is their jobs as pitchers.

The Players like the City Jersey's and they have to wear them, just saying! I think the color is fine but the lettering leaves a lot to be desired.

Yes but did they have scales or feathers?  Get that right first then we can try and put dates on things no?  And being we want to play, is tgere more of a link DNA wise between monkeys or pigs and man?  Answer those and we can move along.

I’m not a paleontologist so I was asking you

But there are many posters who are like monkeys and pigs so no surprise

Almost all of the city connect jerseys are ugly and aren't in line with the teams normal colors...but they are new and are selling....which is what baseball wants
